This lovely early DeLorean has been a part of our small family collection for roughly ten years. It is a highly sought after early model car # 1138 with the rare early gray wheels, the desired black interior, and most importantly, manual transmission for the true driving experience! The elusive 'gas door' hood is also a feature of this DMC, so all the stars have aligned on this beautiful example of automotive history that has only 47k miles on it!
This 1981 DMC is fully original in all ways except for the suspension, which has been customized with adjustable ride-height shocks, closing that ugly fender gap to improve the sleek appearance DeLorean's deserve, but also improving the handling. It also has a custom build stainless steel exhaust system.
This DeLorean sits in heated storage with the other well cared for cars on display in our collection. The car is driven regularly but infrequently, put away and wiped down with a microfiber towel after every trip. This car is turnkey and needs nothing.
You may ask yourself why someone would ever sell such a lovely car, but the short answer is that many car people get the itch to try something new- we've had a great time with this car taking family and kids and strangers alike for memorable rides and experiences they'll never forget.
