This car was restored by a gentleman named Mike Mathison. Everything was disassembled and reconditioned or replaced with the factory correct part. The body was stripped down to bare metal and painted with correct enamel paint as per factory specifications. The Horizon Blue paint job alone totaled $6500. Jack Bruck and Chip Knight are credited for the paint and bodywork. The restoration took seven years and was finished in 1993. Since then the car has been rarely driven and stored indoors. It has no rust. One of the last 1957 oval window examples to leave the factory in Germany berfore the rear window change.
