Matching Number # 1968 Camaro V8 327 - 3 Speed StickI am selling my engine and body matching # '68 camaro. The odometer reads just over 73k miles. I assume they are original miles because of the condition of the engine. As you can see from the pictures of the engine. I have not cleaned the engine at all. I purchased this car that was in the process of a 'ground up' restoration. I put the parts back on it. put in an HMI distributor. and it started right up and runs great. It is a 3 speed on the floor with factory air conditioning. A/C is not all put together so it is not hooked up. This car is a great project for someone with a little time. It runs. drives and shifts fine. Brakes work fine. but pulls when stepped on hard (probably easy fix). This car was originally a light green. but I didn't like the color and had it painted white. Paint is good and body is not perfect. but very presentable. As seen in the pics. . it has uncovered front seats. and will need a new interior. Two rear exhaust pipes. passenger side blows a little smoke. maybe just valve seals. but it's not that bad. I think it has a rear main seal leak and the dipstick is missing. I have many other parts that I took off to paint that I will include. There are some bolts. etc that need to be secured for more permanence. I put it back together so I could drive it around the neighborhood once a week to get it ready to get back on the road. Headlights and tail lights work. but blinker arm is floppy and not triggering blinkers and brake lights are not triggering. Little things. but all very easily fixable. I would really like to keep this car. but circumstances dictate I let her go before I can finish it up. Clean Texas title in my name. I reserve the right to sell it locally. So feel free to make me an offer. If you have any questions. please feel free to let me know. Thanks. A quick VIDEO CLIP of the car:http://youtu. be/-BXGsiT4zscOn Apr-22-15 at 08:35:08 PDT. seller added the following information:Details. to address some your more specific questions to the best of my ability: I hope these help. Dash - There is a little rust on the dash metal. but not much. One of the close ups through the windshield shows a spot on the drivers side. The rest of the dash looks pretty good. Windshield- I don't think the windshield leaks. I've had it garaged for the last four years. and under a cover. The windshield is old and may be original. other then some natural delaminating on the edges is in surprisingly good shape. I don't have all the aluminum trim. Side windows - when I got the car. the previous owner removed all the nuts and bolts holding the windows. I found most of the nuts and bolts and put them back on. The windows roll up and down. but not perfectly. I am not sure how to adjust them. so they (side windows - front and back) need the attention from someone that has some free time and knows how to align and adjust or fix them better than me. And the weather stripping should replaced. What was there has been removed. Quarters - If memory serves. there was a little rust repair 4 years ago. but nothing significant and still looks good. Rockers - they look good. Trunck pan - a few small rust holes. but overall solid. Floor Pans - If I were keeping it. I'd put new pans in. as some of the originals are rusted through in places. As indicated in the pictures. I cut some sheet metal. painted them. and screwed them into the floors so that I could put carpet in it sometime. So they are solid from the inside. but underneath. you can see that they will need to be replaced at some point. Windshield Frame - Appears solid. Rear window Frame - The window and aluminum trim on the back will need to be affixed and sealed. There was some rust that was repaired around the back window 4 years ago when I had the car painted. Not perfect body work on a couple edges. but not that noticeable to the untrained eye. Interior - I have a few of the original interior parts. but not that many. So. as mentioned above. it will need a new interior. Hope that helps. Keep your good questions coming. Thanks again.
