For sale is my 1982 Datsun 280zx coupe non-turbo. 84. XX ORIGINAL MILES. This is a very clean car that i have put some time and money into. The car was originally metallic silver and i painted it using a rubberized protective paint called plasti dip. you can Google it and you will see how it is a removable paint. The paint usually last a few years without any fading or peeling. but the paint underneath is the silver metallic that was not sanded or primed. I will include a picture of the paint underneath below. I purchased the car last year as a project and as one of my driven cars. The car drives great. everything works as it should. These older Z's are notorious for having an extreme amount of rust. but this one is practically rust free. I have a video and pictures below showing. The car has been kept out of rain and harsh weather. The interior has been completely re-done in black. new carpet. dyed seats. all interior was stained to match. new dash cover. Good tread on tires and new inspection. The car is a eye catcher and will make a great car for somebody. Its a 5 speed with some options including; power mirrors and t-tops. The car drives extremely smooth. high speeds are not a problem with the car. no noises or vibrations. The car is VERY quick. New exhaust that sounds great. Lots of new parts and all old parts have been kept and will be included (shifter boot. shift knob. etc. ). The car has a clean title and is registered and driven here in VA. Oil regularly changed and all filters are new. The car has a couple very small dings that would only be noticeable if i point them out. The car is straight and a blast to drive. There is only one small issue that i have found. The car occasionally after being driven and shut off and driven again for a while will have trouble reaching rpms above 3K. The car is extremely reliable and will always start right up. Just sometimes after being run it wont rev. its like its hitting a rev limiter and it does this while in gear too. It can still be driven when it does this its just not a race car. it takes a while to get up to speed due to having to shift at 3K. Thats the only issue i have noticed with it. I am not a mechanic and all i have been able to find on it is a tps sensor that might be the cause. i ordered and installed a new tps sensor and it fixed the issue for a while but then it reoccurred again. It could be another sensor or something else that is causing this im just not sure. But other than that it runs amazing. Please see all photos for condition. The problem with the 3k revs has seemed to go away. I'm assuming it was just a bad connection on one of the many plugs that I cleaned. The car is running better than ever now.
