Car description |

Up for sale is a nice 1975 Datsun 280z all original one family owned car, with 75k original miles! I have bags of records and documentation for this car dating back to the 1980s! I even have the factory window sticker showing the options and the warranty booklet. This is a well preserved example that has been cared for and maintained its entire life.
Body: This car is originally from Texas which has a dry climate that severely inhibits rust growth on classic cars. This 280z is a prime example of that, the frame is in excellent shape even with no factoryundercoating applied! The frame is straight with no signs of any accident damage, gaps line up well. The battery tray is in great shape which is a problem area for these cars, as well as the spare tire well. The main rust issue is on the drivers side floorboard where there is a small hole the size of a silver dollar, we can fix this for an additional fee although it is fairly minor. The paintwork is good for a car this age but has imperfections/chips in the paint. There are no signs of Bondo on the car and no dent issues to speak of so a repaint would be fairly straight forward and without issue if you desire. The car has period correct mesh wheels and factory louvers. Overall the car is extremely solid and has been well maintained.
Mechanical: The car retains its factory L28 engine without any major modification, regular maintenance has always been done and done correctly at Datsun dealerships with correct parts. I have a multitude of receipts showing the cars mileage and parts replaced/maintained. The car runs without issue and drives fine, it has recently had a tune up where the correct replacement fuel pump was installed and a new clutch master cylinder as well as other minor items. This car is equipped with factory A/C which was an expensive option for the time, it still works but will need to be recharged fully or converted to modern R134 which we can do.
Interior: The car has a factory interior with no alterations, the seat panels are vibrant as well as the plastic trim panels, with no signs of sun fading. The seats are original with the original seat skins still present. The steering wheel is in great shape and shows no signs of melting as typical with this style of steering wheel installed on the 280z, proving it has been stored indoors most of its life.
Overall, this is a well preserved and maintained Datsun 280z that has been cared for all its life by one family, and only sold one time in its life. As a result of this, the car has been spared from any alterations and has kept its original form. The body is in excellent shape for the age and will require no extensive rust/paint work. This is an investment piece that can be driven and enjoyed for many years!
NOTE:I have tried to describe this vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible but please remember it is a used vintage vehicle. As with any vehicle, (new or used) there may be issues that I have overlooked or am unaware of. If you are unsure of anything or want to know more, please ask questions about the vehicles condition before bidding, all bids are final, there is no warranty expressed or implied. Exporters welcome. THANKS!
