Here is a really collectible, rare, early Datsun L320 pickup that runs nicely but needs a number of things done before it can be driven.
About 4 years ago, I drove it a few miles and this truck shifted beautifully, clutch was good and the brakes were good. It has since been sitting with occasional start-ups. However, the clutch slave cylinder went bad and the clutch no longer works. One guy is selling a new slave for $100 but I was looking for a cheaper one (later Datsuns use a much cheaper cylinder but it doesn't fit) but have not found one. In the meantime, I disassembled the brakes so the truck could be moved around easily. It has been stored mostly indoors.
This is a very solid western truck (this generation of Datsun was ONLY sold on the west coast) with a neat desert patina. It does have a little rust, and a couple of small holes in the bed, but nothing significant.
The front bumper is missing and the prior owner modified the truck with a fiberglass spoiler, which actually would look decent if painted. He also lowered the truck rear a little, and moved the battery to the bed.
These are very simple trucks, and also very heavy duty. Fix this one up and you have a usable runabout that can do work and also go to car shows.
Please send a message if you have questions. This is a NO RESERVE auction.
Pick up in Annapolis, MD (for a fee I could deliver in the general area).
