Car description |

I'm selling my 1969 Datsun 1600 SPL 311 fairlady Roadster. We actually own three of these cars. They can be a lot of fun. They're one of the best built smaller cars in its day. They have a full X frame underneath adding a lot of strength. They also have a good brake system with disc brakes in the front and aluminum drums in the back. They also have a decent suspension as well. They also have pretty amazing power as well.
The car is mostly all there. The frame and body are in decent shape. We did have to rivet some sheet metal in on both the drivers and passenger floor boards. Right under the seats. The seats have been reupholstered as well as the sun visors. The convertible top is in good shape. The blower works, but not in multiple settings, on or off. Heat does work. Gauges work. The previous owner cut the original ignition off and add a Harley Davidson ignition. The car does run and drive. The engine needs some tuning, mostly adjusting the valves. The choke cable can stick at times. The hood pop is miss the plastic so you have to us pliers to pull on it. The radiator can lean a little at times, the motor can drip a little oil. The previous owner made his own gas tank. But there's no sending unit, so the previous owner made a wood stick to check the fuel level. The car does has an aftermarket header on it as well. The paint is pealing around the car in different places as you can see in the pictures. Due to how the previous owner prepared the car for paint. Lights do work, car has been on the road for the past 6 years while we have owned it.
