1978 datsun 280z black pearl edition collectible classic 1/650 made 1/78 date

for sale is a 1978 datsun 280z black pearl........one of the last original Z cars ever made with a very very late production number. in 1979 the 10 year ZX edition was introduced and the original Z line was concluded with this black pearl datsun 280z color code 638.....datsun had furnished every dealership with one of these to sell, although a high volume dealer may have gotten 2.these cars had black pearl paint along with a unique stripe louvers and option aluminum wheels. the production amount is believed to be between 650 and 750 but that is what i am told. for many years these cars did not find their value so many have been crushe, junked totaled and simply not kept so over the last 41 years much of these cars have vanished. i am told from registration records that there are less than 200 of these cars left. most certainly a collector piece.
i have had this car for about 12 years now.it is my personal car in my name NOT part of dealership inventory!!! it is very solid as it has been living in a garage for all that time. however it is NOT a brand new car so dont expect one. i have taken this car to shows and there have been times where i would drive it around a few days in a row, but i have not put many miles on it in the time i have had it. it does start up idles right away, runs and shifts well, has cold ac, upgraded exhaust. this car can drive a long trip if needed. the body and paint are good, paint is not original and is an older paint job, starting to show some minor flaws, paint is driver quality,may have a chip or 2 slight fade, if you need a show car a paint job would be required. striping is not original but is an adaptation of what was originally on the car.i do have the original 3M unused stripe kit sold separately. interior is very good only having minor wear, dash has a cap on it. seats look good and the car has a nice stereo in it with multiple surface mount speakers . please review pics as what you see is what you get. the car has many removable mods like the wheels(enkei), mirror, spoiler and stereo. power windows have also been installed but can be removed. clock and speedo have stopped working recently. the majority of these mods were installed before the datsun z cars started to explode in value.this is not a concourse car but a nice driver that can be taken to the next level very easily. i am not desperate to sell this car and the price is not negotiable, no trades and no offers. no trades and no offers. i have done my best to describe this car but it is sold as is with no warranty, you can presale inspect but no post sale inspections.there are no returns or refunds of any kind or for any reason.the buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping, we can recommend a shipper if you need one. i can also arrange to pick up any fully paid buyer from JFK airport. the price is firm so no offers please message any OTHER questions that you may have.A $500 PAYPAL DEPOSIT IS DUE IMMEDIATELY UPON SALE. if you do not have the ability to do this please do not bid or buy. the deposit is NON refundable with no exceptions!!! we accept paypal and credit cards for the deposit only. the balance needs to be cash certified / official check or bank wire only. there are no returns and no refunds of any kind or for any reason.there is a $250 buyer fee added to the sale price which covers all sales expenses which include document fees, warranty cost, mailings, dealer prep, airport pick up and shipping assistance. in the case where sales are made outside of this WEB sight or in person this fee may be waived.
