AFTER PURHASING IT I NOTICED A CLUTCH THROWOUT BEARING NOSE AND TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC WHO HAS WORKED ON EARLY 240Z'S FOR 30 YEARS, ANYONE IN LA OR Orange County CALIF KNOWS ROD IS THE PERSON TO TAKE YOUR Z TO. I DON'T LIKE TO SCREW AROUND WITH ANY OF MY CARS I WANT THEM PERFECT, SO THIS IS WHAT I HAD DONE TO THIS CAR.
1. REPLACE FRONT AND REAR BRAKES INCLUDING REBUILDING CALIPERS AND WHEEL CYLINDERS
2. REBUILT ORIGINAL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
3. REBUILTORIGINAL CLUTCH MASTER & SLAVE CYLINDER4. REBUILT ORIGINAL AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR AND REFILLED SYSTEM WITH R12
5. BECAUSE THE 240Z WAS DESIGNED TO RUN ON LEADED GAS I HAD THE HEAD REMOVED AND A VALVE JOB DONE WHILE REPLACING THE BRASS VALVE SEATS WITH THE STEEL VALVE SEATS WHICH ARE DESIGNED FOR UNLEADED GAS, "THIS IS IMPORTANT SO YOU DON'T DROP A VALVE"
6. HAD TRANSMISSION REMOVE TO REPLACE NOISYCLUTCH THROWOUT BEARING AND HAD THE CLUTCH REPLACED AS WELL AS THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY REBUILT, "WHY SCREW AROUND"
7. HAD ALL FLUIDES CHANGED AND A COMPLETE TUNE UP
8. TIRES ARE LIKE NEW
9. ANY BUSHINGS OR PARTS THAT NEEDED REPLACED MY MECHANIC HE HAS DONE SO

AS YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THIS IS A 48 YEAR OLD CAR WHICH I'VE TRIED TO KEEP WITH ORIGINAL PARTS WHICH ARE GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND, AS SUCH I'VE SPARED NO EXPENCE TO EITHER REPLACE WITH ORIGINAL OR REBUILD ORIGINAL PARTS.
