Up for your consideration is this 1967 Datsun Bluebird Wagon +. This is an excellent summer project or parts abound for your current 410/411 wagon or sedan.
Bad news does not get better with time and neither does rust. Sorry but this one does have some. Most serious is in the rear inner and outer quarter panels and well as in the floor boards. Rockers seem to be in better shape but some rust repair is needed at the ends, but not the whole rocker panels. Under doors look good. There is no visible rust in the engine compartment as the inner fenders and battery areas look good - surprisingly.
At this time it does NOT run. Added a new ignition switch (included with all four keys) and the engine does turn over and have compression. No brakes.
Rear end - no idea why someone added that face down 1/2 length spring - definitely not stock - extra set of springs from a sedan included.
Interior is complete but will need to be redone. Exceptions are the interior courtesy lamp - the cover is missing and there are small chips missing from the base and has several cracks - so just write this off, rear lift hatch fiber board cover (easy fix), and the knob for the choke, but included in the extra parts.
Minus the rear hatch interior panel all parts that are specific for the wagon are present. To include all hardware for the rear folding seat, rear hatch pieces parts, excellent glass and stainless steel trim. Hinges though will need to be re-chromed. Oops sorry not lock or key - forgot - see pic.
Okay now for the "+." Included in this sell are almost, but not quite the complete parts to turn this or your current 410/411 project into an SSS. That's right - included is a R16 (complete w/carbs, linkage, choke cable(s), manifold, and starter) with 4-speed gear box and slave cylinder. The correct 411 SSS shortened and upward angled Hitachi SU intake manifold with carburetors. High capacity aluminum oil pan, and the correct 3 to 1 411 SSS exhaust manifold (yes it does have a crack, but can be fixed.) I do not have the badging, but is available from overseas vendors on eBay. I also do not have the motor mounts for the R16 to the 411 engine cradle/front cross member - just have not run across these yet. Will need to confirm the rear diff, but if the 411 SSS has a different rear diff ratio - I do not have one and the R16/U20 rear diffs are too big for the dinky 410/411 rear pumpkin.
Also include are many suspension parts and interior bits from a farm find sedan as well as the drive line from this one.
If there are other parts from a Roadster for the 411 wagon that are needed and not pictured to complete the 411 SSS transformation let me know and I will take a look in the crates-of-parts - I have way too much.
At this time there is no title - Bill of Sale only - NO TITLE, but it's pretty easy to title the vehicle. Bill of Sale + DMV vin/data plate inspection (KSHP) and then off to the court house with BoS, inspection documentation, proof of insurance, and some money.
SHIPPING: Winner is responsible for shipping. I can and will help, but with the engine and extra parts I highly recommend you come and get it.
Payment: $250 deposit due within 2 working days of end of auction. I will contact you with instructions on the remaining balance - it's pretty simple.
At this time I will not entertain any questions regarding parting this one out if there is no sell. All the parts that make this a wagon have already been spoken for as well as some of the body panels, hood and rear hatch...if no sell.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
