We are happy to present this very collectible 1980 Datsun 280 ZX 10th Anniversary Edition. There were only 3000 of these cars built and of those only 500 were the red and black combination. the other 2500 were gold and black.

The 280ZX was a complete redesign, retaining only the L28 Inline-6 engine and other driveline components from the 280Z. Early reviews of the 280ZX were mixed. Some were not happy with the transformation the Z-car had made to a grand tourer, while others appreciated the improvements in refinement, comfort, and overall market appeal. The sales figures soon proved the Nissan designers right, with the 280ZX becoming a sales success.

This 280ZX has been restored to a degree. The interior was redone. It has had one paint job to it's original colors. The wheels were completely redone professionally. It was not a frame off restoration. The brakes were redone 800 miles ago.

The paint is nice, but shows a bit of orange peel. On a scale of 1-10 it is about a 7-8.

The A pillar cover on the passenger side has a crack, but our seller has the replacement piece.

The car does have 102856 miles, and to the seller's knowledge engine has never been rebuilt. The car runs great and does not smoke or appear to have any leaks.

The gauges are working and the radio does work most of the time. The cassette player is working as well.

For those of us who remember, this is a cassette tape player. It is still working and you may have some of those tapes around if you are from this era.

There are T-Top storage bags.

The glass T-Tops have sun shades.

The engine compartment is in very nice condition. The inline 6 is running great. The 5 speed transmission shifts well. The owner has had it since 2010 and has taken very good care of it.

This car is a pleasure to drive and is very comfortable. These 280ZX have become very collectible. This is your chance to own a 1 of 500 collector piece.

The undercarriage is original and just shows some typical surface rust. The cars last 2 owners have been here in Texas.

There are some wet spots on the undercarriage, but as we mentioned, there are no leaks and no sign of fluids on the floor.

The factory wheels are wrapped in Sumic 205/17R14 Radials. The tires were installed 2 years ago and have very few miles on them.

We found one little spot of rust starting to show just under the rear hatch.
