Car description |
---|
1971 240z. Built 4/71.
47 year old car here.
I got this particular car because the chassis was solid and it wasn't so pretty I felt bad modifying it.
It's now a classic car with go kart handling.
Super fun to drive.
Runs great.
The Goods:
Solid Chassis.

Original Color.
SU Carbs.
Emissions deleted.
Koyo Radiator
New Engine Mounts
New Transmission Bushing
Poly Steering Rack Bushings

Replaced Tie Rods
Replaced All Wheel Bearings
Ground Control Camber Plates
McKinney Coilover Conversion
Suspension Tech Swaybars F&R
AZC Brakes with AZC parking brake calipers.
280z Brake Booster
Wilwood MC

TTT LCA and Tension Rods Front
TTT LCA Rear with poly bushings.
JDM Subaru STi 180 Rear Diff (Torsen Limited Slip) with Beta Motorsports stub axles
280zx 5 speed transmission
Bad Dog Frame Rails <-- Can't even describe how much of a difference these make!!!
Bad Dog Front sway bar reinforcement.
Rota RBR Wheels 17x9.5
Dunlop Direza Star Spec Tires
New Distributor Cap
NGK Spark Plug Wires
NGK Spark Plugs
Odyssey Lightweight Battery
High Output Coil
Air Dam
Bunch of original parts included (stereo, control arms, brake calipers, 4 spd tranny, etc.)
Some new uninstalled parts included (new headlights and wiring, electronic ignition, etc)
I know I'm forgetting some things.
Stored in garage unless being driven.
The Bads:
Left turn signal isn't working currently. Had it working in the shop, didn't work last time I drove it; all signal lights flash with the hazard warning switch as they should.
One of the studs on the exhaust port of cylinder 1 is missing and there is a small exhaust leak there.
Head gasket leaks a very small amount of oil from one point above the oil filter.
The rear drivers side coilover was welded slightly off center, however it is adjusted to match the other side's alignment.
The paint and body work is not in perfect condition, it has been driven.
The most recent paint job, done before I acquired the car, was not awesome--there are some drips, oversprays, and lack of masking.
Wheels were bought with the intention of cutting flares, so they are a touch wide and there is tire rub on full compression in the rear. Either narrower wheels with the current tires or flares with wider ties would be the ideal situation.
