It is about 99% finished. needs some minor tuning. very minor wiring work (dash lights). put in door locks which I have and some insignias. You would be better to pass on this Z if you are looking for a perfect original restoration. an unmodified car or you don't see any value in a hot rodded all steel Z at this price. Truly a car you cannot drive a block without getting a thumbs up. These cars are an excellent platform for a V8 and after building several I am always surprised at the balance/power of the end product. I safety certified the car a few months ago and had been driving it over the summer. It is priced significantly below what is in the car and I have priced it aggressively because I need to reduce my collection. I have bought and sold several z's over the years on Ebay without a problem because my perfect feedback reputation is important to me. I will recheck the odometer and update if need be. Here is a description: The car was originally from California. had very little rust to begin with which was isolated to the doglegs and a few spots on the floor pans. This was cut out and any surface rust was treated with POR-15. The bumpers/grill/fenders. glass were removed to properly paint the car. The body was sanded and a 2-part urethane primer applied then block sanded again. Next DuPont 2-part urethane sealer applied and base coat is Chrysler FJ6 Green. Three coats of DuPont clear coat then wet sanded and buffed. Awesome body and paint is the only way to describe it. near perfect. probably one of the nicest bodies you will find on a Z. Sum up this car?. All steel. super straight body. no rust. power. thousands in new parts and an absolute traffic stopper in immaculate green paint. As the photos indicate the car was stripped down including engine. glass etc to paint it properly. The original color I was going to paint it is what the engine compartment is now. I changed my mind and went with a brighter green after it was done and back together. Not far off though. Chevy 305 V8 and a 700R4 installed with JTR conversion parts. Newly rebuilt four barrel quadrajet carb. GM alternator and what most don't do on these cars is a proper fan surround. Purchased new and installed were the following: complete carpet. door rubber. windshield/rear window gaskets . rear hatch rubber seal and most other rubber seals throughout. New exhaust from Headers back. Some of the shots show it without a mirror and some emblems. they were taken at different times in the fall so I was continually working on it and are all on now. Wheels. you will have 1 of 3 choices. ou see the 15x8 American Racing rims with new tires (225/50). next would be the original factory aluminum rims on new Kumhos (205/60/14) or the wheels pictured (Excellent condition ROH 16x8; rims with Kuhmo and Toyo R compound tires installed (a couple of autocross events left on tires) . Professionally painted pearl bronze/gold colour - some small paint chips near the bolt holes but otherwise in excellent shape - no curb rash or dents . New fuel tank. new front brakes. shocks. new springs. urethane bushings. new aluminum radiator and new carpet. It has an electric fuel pump. No radio. I have a rebuilt Holley 650 that will go with the car also. would make a significant improvement in the already strong performance. 240Z style fiberglass bumpers. Also have a pair of new plexiglass headlight covers not installed. Between the new parts and body/paint/labor there was a ton of money spent on this car. Seats (from 240Z) with no rips or splits. door panels. plastic etc in the interior all in very good to excellent condition. Cracked dashboard top like most of them with a cap installed. It has had the floor repaired in one spot where the heater core leaked but welded properly. Glass is all in great condition. Extremely straight car with proper body lines. I have had several Z's and this one is a gem. I have done all the hard dirty expensive work. now there are only some personalizing and cosmetics to do. Why am I selling. I have other Z's as well as other projects needing financing. Also 240Z tail lights/rear panel/front signals/front valance/grill available separately if you want to do a complete 240Z conversion on this car. There has been a ton of new stuff put on the car and I am sure I have missed quite a bit. This car is as nice as it looks in the photos. To simplify the shipping process for a US buyer if you use the buy it now I will ship the car to the DAS yard in Detroit at my cost then if you ship DAS in the USA that will make it simple for you to figure out your shipping cost to your destination.
