Car description

This 1971 Datsun 240Z is a Series 1 example that has been an Oklahoma car for at least 30 years, and was stored unused overthe last two decades. The car is mostlystock, and recent work includedinstallation of anew fuel pumpandclutch hydraulics along with abrake service, fluid flush, and oil change, to make it useful asa running and driving restoration project.
Originally blue, the body received an older color change to the failing two-stage green seen here. There was earlier front end damage sustained in the past which did not appear to affect the bumper or main chassisrails, but the core support could use some better hammer/dolly work for a better appearance. There is some rust of varying severity as shown in areas including theouter rockers skins, minor floor board rust, and a minor battery box/inner fender hole with surface rust that can be easily repaired (currently has protectant sprayed on it as seen in the pics). The inner rockers and basic structure of the car is very sound overall, with the Spare Tire Sump and Rear Tail Light Panel in great shape also, and the floor boards are very solid as can be seen from the bottom pics, but there was some small repairs done to the floorboards that was minimal and still solid with no need of floor replacement.
For those unfamiliar with a early production (Series One) 240z, they feature styling and build changes that include C-pillar badging, twin hatch vents, vertical rear-window defroster, no back hatch storage compartments, and this car is equipped with the very rare Throttle Lever still mounted in the center console.
This car sounds good and the motor is a very solid runner with a smooth transmission shift, and all the basic brake/clutch hydraulics and fuel pump have been replaced in order to make it a running and driving car, so a lot of work can be done to the car as it is being enjoyed.
I am offering this Series One example to the person who wants their own build project, but we also have several other fully refreshed cars that are or will be available to the person who wants a Trouble Free and Turn Key example for immediate use and enjoyment, and these Turn Key Cars average 35k dollars (Titled 240z Included) ready for delivery, and a couple of those examples are also pictured above.
For the Turn Key Cars, we have about a 2 week through 8 week completion time depending on current inventory and your specific option choices, and we are able to offer that sort of quick order time because we have ten of them currently in various stages of the restoration process as we speak, so it is possible to pick your car in the sequence and then choose specifics like color choices.
The Turn Key Cars include:
Exploded Body/Paint Work for a complete and fresh appearance throughoutNew Interior (New and Refreshed Components as needed)New Full Body WeatherstrippingPowder Coated and Refreshed Suspension (Front, Rear, Crossmembers, and all parts)Refreshed Powertrain (Engine, Transmission, Differential)New Wheel Bearings, Seals, Poly Bushings, Ball Joints, Steering Components, Coil SpringsAll New Brake and Clutch Hydraulics (Cylinders, Hoses, and Brake Pads/Shoes)New Fuel SystemReconditioned or New BrightworksNew Or Reconditioned Wheels depending on Customer Choice
These cars are disassembled and basically everything is replaced or reconditioned as needed with the exception of the electrical wiring harness, but they also have proper work and used component replacement done to ensure electricical, gauges, and accessories are in working order, which makes these builds just barely short of 3 times higher priced full rotisserie build that would be normally classified as a Trailer Queen that isn't enjoyed. Our Turn Key Cars are a Dependable, Refreshed, and Clean Driver Car at an average bargain price of 35k dollars that does include a correct and legal titled car, so just do the math on the bargain and lack of headache this really is.
If necessary, we can also take these cars to basically any level of restoration you want, but we figured we would offer a fun and reliable car to the person who wants to enjoy them on the road as regular drivers, and I promise you that you will not find a more sorted and cleaner example car offered for the money on EBay or any other buyers source.
If you have a Early S30 Z Car, we can also refresh your car if delivered to our facility, so feel free to reach out about that. For a confident buy, please review my previous Classic Car Seller Feedback, and you will see I have a 100 percent rating with customers saying the cars were better than described for a happy transaction.
