Car description

You're viewing my 1978 Datsun 280Z G-Nose Wide Body NISMO sports coupe. Mileage is believed to be original but I have no proof. I just finished a light restoration on the car, but it's time for a new owner to enjoy her. I collect and restore old Porsche 911's, but I have a soft spot for the Z cars as my first car in college was a '73 240Z. This car just underwent a full respray with doors, hood and rear hatch removed. It's not "show" quality but very presentable and looks great. Very smooth body and straight lines. I intentionally didn't install side mirrors because the next owner may want the "European look" front fender mounting or the more standard door mounting. The interior is all new including full dash cap, door panels, correct seat covers and carpet/mats. The original motor has a light build with mild cam, wrapped headers, new ignition, new battery (but a little too big), dual carbs, radiator, and performance clutch. Brakes are new as are the rims and tires. Custom exhaust. The fuel door was shaved/removed as the car now sports a fuel cell (fuel gauge in-op). The car is anything but stock, but a real head turner and gets attention every time I take her out. If you're looking for an appreciating asset that looks killer and is fun to drive, this is the car for you. The car is on coil overs and sits super low. Very aggressive stance...low and wide! It sounds awesome and has plenty of power. The floors are very solid with one small area that has been patched with metal in the past. The chrome brightwork on the car is nice and shiny. A manual choke was installed, and the car fires up with the first blip of the key. At one point it had dealer installed air conditioning, but that is no longer operable. Not sure what it would take to get going again. With Z's appreciating at record rates this is a rare opportunity to get into the Market with a very rare G-Nose wide body conversion that will follow that same trend. If bone stock is what you're looking for, move on. If a super cool looking rare car that will continue to appreciate in your care, and you can handle the looks and thumbs ups you'll constantly get...then this IS the car for you. I have the car advertised in several places so the auction could end at any time. Feel free to ask questions or make an offer to end early. She's ready to go and needs nothing but a new owner. I will happily sell overseas. Zero Feedback bidders must contact me prior to bidding or you will be cancelled and blocked. I've had too many game players in the past, and it not only wastes my time and money, but takes away the opportunity for legitimate bidders to win. A $500 deposit thru PayPal is due immediately following the auction, and final balance to be bank wired within 3 business days. No exceptions. Please understand and respect my wishes. I'm a private collector/restorer looking to thin down my collection. All sales are final. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! Again, this is No Reserve so last bid wins!
