A Kansas Datsun 620 King Cab pickup truck - I have owned this truck since 1995, it served me well. When the tag expired 5 years ago I parked it behind my garden shed until I needed it again. Illness distracted me and so 'she' sat until last month when Fall cleanup dictated I decide her Fate. It is against my religion to scrap any DATSUN that has lasted this long. I installed a fresh battery and gravity fed clean gas to the carb and the L20B engine fired right up - NO smoke at all ! It idled and did run up to 3-4000 RPM's strongly but the carb is in need of a rebuild or a Weber replacement to run & drive. The engine is stock. NO water in crankcase or radiator - It always ran great. NO electrical issues either. Both hydralics cylinders are dry & will need replaced. Truck does roll free so brakes are not stuck to drums and rotors.... The RF fender was dented by a dumpster blown by high winds not collision so the inner core support is not bent. Body is rusty, see my pix ....hood closes and locks down, it is not latched in photos. The engine room is stock - battery tray has minimal rust issues - strut towers are solid - RUST is mostly in rocker panels, and bed seams, bed does have a 3" hole somewhere minor-- drivers floorboard has rust-thru in center of footwell but I have seen much worse at a higher price ! Cab corners are good, floor has rust scaling but no severe damage Driver seat & passenger seat have been professionally recovered in vinyl recently - a stock steering wheel is in place now. Grill & headlight doors intact. A sturdy metal rear bumper with ball hitch complements the rear end ! Tail gate is slightly bent & wont latch. The aftermarket AM/FM/cassette deck works fine !
