This 240z was owned by a gentleman named Mike at original purchase in 1971. He owned it for 35 years. He was in the military, and spent time in California (where the car was purchased) as well as Maryland and Texas up until retiring in Colorado. In the 1990s the car was undergoing complete restoration. This car was saved by the second owner and now saved by me, the 3rdowner. The original owner lives locally and I will pass his contact info to the buyer.
-professional leather seat upholstery, new seat foam and straps.
-every window professional tinted to a light tint.
-a N.O.S. dashboard in the 90s. Within 15 years, the dash developed (1) single crack as seen in the photos.
-leather padded center console and a brand new headliner.
-upgraded seat belts from a later Z car
-fresh 3-row aluminum radiator,
-new NABCO clutch slave,
-new brake master cylinder,
-fresh NGK plugs
-heater core bypassed with OEM Nissan heater hose to bypass it
-tank was dropped and cleaned.
-Front and rear brake jobs were completed
-new OEM cast mechanical fuel pump
-2ndowner drove the car 900 miles
-New water pump

The L24 is numbers matching from block to engine plate and has very good idle and nice pull at speed. The exhaust resonator has a slight leak.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-The shifter needs new bushings
-Brakes jobs done but lines need to be re-bled
-Remanufactured alternator
-New radiator and heater hoses
-Beautiful battery tray area—surface rust only and no holes
Battery terminals should be replaced. New ones will go with car
-Frame rails from radiator to the back of the car are spotless (except for a few dents towards the front)
-Floor pans are perfect except for a few pin holes (seen in photos).
-New/used rear hatch emblems
-Non original radio; gets power and is wired for additional speakers. Needs speakers for sound to work.
-There is no carpet on the floor from pedals to behind the rear seat. All vinyl is present.
-Rear hatch area carpet is original and in decent shape.
-Original steel wheels (ONLY) are included as well as good condition spare.
-All dash lights work correctly. As well as running lights, low/hi beams, blower fan, hazards, and wipers. Gas, temp, amp gauges work well. The tachometer has not worked since the new dash installed. Horn does not work.
-Carbs are healthy with no apparent vacuum leaks. All smog equipment is present if I’m not mistaken. Carbs are 4 screws. New OEM filter. New OEM spec fuel pump. Valve noise is non-existent. I’m sure she’d run better with a valve adjustment. When opening the oil cap while running a nice healthy supply of oil is spinning around the cam. Oil pressure is strong. According to the gauge, pressure is around 40psi at idle.
-Original steel wheels with some 195/70/14 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. The tires show age with cracks but hold air. I noticed some squeaky noises at the front passenger tire while driving. It should be given some attention before routine road use.
-Horn doesn’t work.
-No oil leaks to speak of! No drip drops in your driveway.
-All chrome trim is in good shape. Bumpers look decent for a driver with a very minor ding or two or three. A corner piece of windshield trim is missing. For the rear window, the missing corner trim is in the center console.
-New 240z emblem and refinished Datsun emblem on hatch.
-Dealer added Air conditioning—not hooked up but included with car.
-OEM very good condition wheel chocks in tool bin
Original radiator, condenser, and complete dealer installed A/C system with bracket and pulleys included; please see photos. It was operational when removed.
RUST
Here is what I have found. A dime sized hole at most on the driver’s side floor.
A some pinholes on the passengers side floor. Please look at extra photos. Rockers are solid. Floors are solid. Rear tire hub and hatch look very good. The paint has been touched up over the years.
Rust at driver’s dogleg. There is bondo present as well as some skimming on passenger's wheel lip and the front of the hood. The rocker is solid. But the outer dog leg should be replaced
