No matter how old we get, e seem to just keep on having goals and creating projects to help with achieving them........until we're told that the cancer has come back and cannot be treated.Last Fall, found this -- seemingly the rarest of all things -- a nearly rust-free Datsun 2000! Though the seller claimed that it was completely rust-free, did find a little when it arrived....but just a tiny bit on the P/S front fender and rocker. My goals at the time we're two: first, o recreate one of the best days of my life (from 1973, hen I drove one of these, ith the love of my life, p the PCH through Big Sur); and second, o build a wimpy-looking wee roadster that would run and sound like an XK-120! (The NEO 6 in line, ingle turbo 6, ith automatic -- easily found through JDM -- fits the bill perfectly and would be an easy, nexpensive ...and noisy... conversion.)Well, hat ain't gonna' happen, t least around here!BUT all who have seen it have told me that, ith a bit less than $3,000 in it, got a good buy and a solid platform for my project. NOT included are a full set of new, remium shocks for it...as well as a brand-new NOS tonneau cover, hat i'll sell separately, LL still in their packages. As a '69, t is a "tall window" roadster.Regardless, t has to go...and for whatever we can get for it, o avoid extra hassles for my kids after I'm gone. Other than the engine, verything to my knowledge works as it should.I will be away while this listing is up, ut my friend, oug, ho runs a local towing & recovery business, ill be happy to show it to anyone, nd will also assist in any other aspect of the transaction. It is in my garage, ut of the weather, nd Doug can be reached at 540-294-0826. Please bid whatever you wish and make a deposit of $200.00 or more upon winning the auction. You won't be disappointed - and you won't be pressured to remove it....but it only weighs about 1,400 pounds and can easily be hauled on a trailer.
