Series 1 1970 240z HLS3012534 Built 10/1970 Registered as 1971. Guessing mileage is 105,095

Rare series one with low low reserve! This car is a solid 20 footer and gets a ton of comments. I bought this car 3 years ago and it has been sitting in storage for the most part since then. I'm unsure as to the history of the car so I am posting what the original seller had in his ad along with more specifics. Parts of this car look great while others could use some work, inish it to suit your taste. I want this to get back into someone's hands who will finish and use it! It looks straight but does need some work, he exterior is pretty good looking but the recent paint is not great and rough in places.

The car sounds amazing, uns great and drives fair besides a rear end thud and keeping in mind it's 50 years old and mostly original, ll lights and gauges work!

FROM PREVIOUS SELLER:

"Engine is an L24 with a few mods; slightly bored out with performance pistons, illed E88 head, un stage 2 cam, lectronic ignition, agnaflow exhaust, nd a few other mods. Smooth shifting original 4 speed trans with Centerforce clutch and 280zx LSD differential."

"I was told by the previous owner that the A/C system the car has was a dealership option back in the 70's. It's a Frigette Custom unit and runs on R12 refrigerent. It needs to be recharged again because it only blows slightly cool. The seatbelts in the car are also very rare, hey are original Takata shoulder & lap belts built especially for vintage 240z." - there is no compressor installed on this car

NEEDS:

The car looks to be largely original and could use some suspension freshening, new bushings, ear brakes adjusted, nd new slave cylinder as it looks to have a tiny leak at the seal. I think the rear end needs work as there is a large thud when cutting the load at speed, nd again when disengaging the clutch at speed. Transmission is also original.

The driver’s side floor and floor support appear to be in good shape though they are dented from bad jack placement from previous owners, he passenger side floor needs replacing as it is original and located under the heater core that may have leaked at one point (currently disconnected thought heater hose connections are included). Floor support on passenger side also needs replacing due to rust and can be seen in the underside photos (see link). There is also a painted over rust hole on the driver’s side above the floor support behind the front wheel that looks like it could easily be repaired (see photos).

Bumpers are included in the sale but need to be re-chromed, he rear is in fair shape but the front has a crack and will need to be straightened and repaired.

Interior is largely original with the exception of full new dash cap (dash has large crack), he deleted radio, ut door cards for speakers (not hooked up), larm (not hooked up) and aftermarket wheel and shifter. The headliner is starting to droop, he seats have rips that need repair (brand new dragon automotive seat covers included ~$500) and it could use updated carpets with modern insulation as the old insulation is messy. Rear hatch seals are new but main seal needs to be re-glued before seeing any rain.

EXTRAS:

Bumpers included, eater core hoses (currently disconnected), ragon Automotive seat covers (2), ipers, ar cover.
