Car description |

I bought this thinking I could restore it, but what it needs is beyond my ability.
Engine: It starts, from the starter key and ignition button. Engine sounds OK, but needs tuning. There is a leak in either the head gasket or the head. I'm not sure which. I installed a new coil and battery. It came with a new knock-off Weber that works. I have a new distributor, which will come with the sale. Clutch seems to engage, but I haven't attempted to run it. The car does roll freely.
Body: There is rust. In my non-professional opinion, it is not close to terminal. Previous to me, someone had used bondo on the right from quarter panel. Maybe elsewhere too. I haven't looked closely. As in the photo, the trunk floor is rotted through, but I have the replacement piece and it comes with the sale. The entire exhaust system will need to be replaced. Car has no working brakes, but the front calipers are in place, and I have the rears not installed. There are also four new brake pads.
Interior: Very rough. Leather seats front & rear - leather is in very good condition. The seats will need to be reinstalled. AM/FM radio. Don't know if it works. Gauges are present, but I don't know if they are working. There is power to the dashboard area. Dashboard cover is missing. All four windows open and close as they should. All doors open and close. I haven't tried the locks.
This is car is a restoration candidate. At worst, it's a great parts car.
