This 1982 Citroen Acadiane was sourced in France as a good, running vehicle with a very solid body. After arriving in the US, a trusted Citroen-only shop performed the following work: a full clutch replacement was done, necessitating engine and transmission removal. The entire front end was stripped down to carry out a thorough job. Full engine service was done including belts and filters. The 1-2-3 electronic ignition was installed, providing a modern, efficient, more dependable ignition system. The left drive shaft was replaced and new king pins and front shocks installed. A new exhaust system was installed from the heat exchanger back. A complete brake system overhaul was carried out: new rotors, refurbished calipers, new pads, new emergency pads and new brake lines, including the difficult proportioning valve lines.
After the mechanical work was performed the body was stripped, including all glass, and any corrosion was removed and a custom rear side hatch was fabricated from steel. The hatch is fitted with seals, locks and pneumatic struts. The original Acadiane colors on the vehicle were too drab and limited, so 1970's Citroen DS colors were selected and the car was painted inside and out. We weren't looking for a show-quality paint job, rather something eye-catching and still utilitarian. The front seats were rebuilt with new rubber springs, canvas and vinyl covers.
Vehicle has current PA registration and antique vehicle insurance.

Odometer reads 81,325 KILOMETERS.
Originally conceived of as a coffee truck, this conversion is a contrast to the larger H-Van style coffee trucks. With the Acadiane the barista would serve from outside, level with customers rather than in and above them. With its large rear hatch the Acadiane could function nicely for many different needs. On Mar-23-19 at 06:41:24 PDT, seller added the following information:Potential customer pointed out a defective area in the paint below the windshield approximately 3" long. There is some puckered paint. I don't think this is due to rust, but probably insufficient prep before the paint. The windshield was removed in preparation for painting and the entire area checked for any rust and some small areas were repaired where the original rubber seal was covering some pitted areas. All repairs were done by tig welding new metal.
