Offered here is a very example of a 1971 Citroen AK400 Fourgonnette "Truckette". This utilitarian variant of the famed 2CV was the ubiquitous panel truck version of France's peoples car for over half a century. This lovely Forgonnette was used by Jamin a paint retailer in Chantonnay, Vendee on the Atlantic Coast of France. Following years of faithful service it was restored a few years back in by a well known 2CV Centre in England. Apart from renewing the car's durable mechanicals, they also fitted a new galvanized chassis. The car retains its original registration numbers front and rear indicating that it hailed from the Department of the Vendee. Having traveled fewer than 1200 miles since the restoration and importation to the USA a number of years back. The car is without question a great and solid runner and attracts loads of attention when it is out and about. Fewer than 125 of these rare vehicles exist in the USA most in collections.
