RARE VINTAGE 1966 2 CV ! AZ-AM model with SUICIDE DOORS, A limited number of 1966 models were made using the 1965 body style. Optional3 way top, fully closed, "sun roof" (see photo),
Purchased this car about 10 years ago. At that time it was about 4 years post-restoration, which included a repaint in yellow/black Charleston style (similar to the 2 CV taxi used in the Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.) Seats were also redone in gray Charleston style fabric.
Used as a second car for 8 years it was parked due to carburetor problems and increasing concern about driving with SUV, large pickups and folks that just don't pay attention! Became a project that never got attention. Realized I was never get to it, so time to sell.
Please note car has not been used/run for 2 years. Engine turns freely using hand crank. Mileage is Km and not accurate. Car does not have seat belts
Paint, top and interior are in good condition. Some minor surface rust is starting to show in spots. Only bad spot is the front cowl vent door (see photo). Gas tank was replaced with plastic unit, 123 electronic ignition and new voltage regulator installed.
What's needed/ wrong. 1) New Tires, current tires will only hold air for 30 min or so. They are tube type, 2) Carburetor needs to be replaced or rebuilt,3) starter needs to be rebuilt or replaced. 4) fuel gauge does not work. 5) battery,( 6 volt ) needs to be replaced. 6 ) some door weather stripping needs replacing.
Comes with a copy of the Citroen factory service/repair manual.
Car is located in south Florida.
