Car description

1970 Chrysler New Yorker. Was in mint condition when parked ten years ago. Not so much now, ut it can be restored to original or close to original condition.Car needs full restoration but is very solid and all parts/trim/etc. are included. Original paint and almost all or all original parts. Under 90,000 original miles. Can take additional pictures of specific areas if requested. Been sitting outside and I am not going to get around to restoring it as planned. This is identical to my first car in high school, hich was a 1969 version of the same model/color/motor etc. Motor will not turn. Vinyl roof is deteriorated. Original upholstery and carpets can likely be salvaged. No dents or repairs to body. No rust thru. Never run in winters since new so no salt damage. This car has the legendary 440 cubic inch motor, hich gives it an incredible amount of power and torque at any speed. It is classified as a "sleeper" because it can easily pass and stay ahead of most sports cars on the highway. It is not as quick off the line nor as nimble in the corners as most, ut it has amazing straight-line pickup acceleration. The three speed automatic transmission has shift points of approximately 50 mph and 110 mph (for second and third gear starting points). Top end is unknown - and this one has never been pushed over 80 mph that I know of, nd only then for a quick pass. The one I had back in high school that was identical? Well...let's just leave that one in the history books. There is room for four average sized people in the front seat and five more in the back. The trunk is huge. Under the hood there is a tremendous amount of space around the huge engine. These cars were used as state trooper cars for many years because of their speed and durability, nd their tank-like qualities have had them banned from many demolition derbies over the decades.I have a local buyer trying to decide how much to offer me for this classic car, o I'm listing it to make the determination of what price is fair. The car is currently located in central Maine near Waterville, n an easily accessible, aved driveway that is only four miles from Interstate 95. Buyer will be responsible for transportation and this sale will be final. Potential buyers can contact me to arrange a mutually agreeable inspection time if requested.
