The last 3 photos on the listing are of a completedand restored car. much as we would like this car to look like when finished.

We started with the Barn Find car and a 1949 Chrysler Royal 4 door with only 46. 00 miles on it and that had been in storage from 1956.

When World War II ended and automobile production resumed. most of the vehicles produced were of pre-War design. Some had slight modifications and it took several years for the automakers to introduce totally new vehicles. For Chrysler. that year was 1949. when they introduction their first postwar all-new styling change. 1949 also marked the company's 25th year in business.
In addition to the styling changes. Chrysler introduced a station wagon. a bodystyle that had not been part of the company's lineup since 1942. During 1949. Chrysler produced just
850 examples of the Royal Station Wagonout of the 124. 18 vehicles built by Chrysler. Chevrolet produced 10. 71 wagons and Ford 13. 12 station wagons. Clearly. this was a small. niche market. Woodies were rare when they were produced and in modern times. they still remain rare.

This old girl was in storage for many years along with her sister car a 4 door example. Thedonor was last registered in 1956 and had only been on the road for 7 short years.
We took any and all parts from that donor car that we couldpossiblyuse for the Station Wagon. This is what has been done so far.
