This car was built in the Jefferson assembly plant in Michigan. the Newport line for 1965 came with a 2 barrel 383 engine with a 4 barrel option. backed by a 727 Torquette transmission. power steering and power assist brakes. a previous owner removed the 383 and installed a 400 cu in engine from a 70's Chrysler. this car runs strong. this car also has 15" factory wheels from a later Chrysler. i would drive it anywhere without concern. i believe i am the third owner of the vehicle. as the previous owner told me he purchased it from the estate of the original owner. this is a presentable 1965 Chrysler Newport Town Sedan in original condition that can be derived to a cruise night in your town now. this car will allow you to get into the collector car hobby for a little bit of money. the car was recently serviced and all fluids changed. it also passed New Jersey inspection in November. i have done my best to accurately describe this car. however. if you need additional information. you can "ask the seller a question" or call me at 732. 406. 3549. please call to set up an appointment to inspect the vehicle.
