1964 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER 4 DOOR HARDTOP. Here is a very rare opportunity to own a TRUE 17,008 MILE SURVIVOR. This Silver Turquoise beauty is a two owner car that has been in the same family since 1985. The car is in original condition; it has not been restored. The body is in very good condition-it is straight with no apparent rust. It appears to have been repainted at some point and there are some chips and a few scratches. Some chrome is pitted and the C pillar medallions are missing. The interior is fitted with turquoise and white cloth bench seats which are in excellent condition as is the carpeting, instrument panel, door panels and headliner. Power windows, push button factory radio and the Mark IV after market air conditioner all work. The car drives as it did in 1964. The 413 cubic inch 340 horsepower engine starts immediately, is smooth, powerful and quiet. Power is transmitted via the famous Chrysler push button 3 speed Torque Flite transmission. The ride is smooth and comfortable. Power steering is light to the touch and with new power brakes just installed, the vehicle stops as it should. In addition to the new brakes, gas lines and tires have recently been replaced. This time capsule comes with the original Chrysler Operating Instructions manual, 1964 Chrysler carline brochure, Chrysler/Imperial Service Technical Manual, MoPar Passenger Parts List hard cover book extra parts and a Washington Post newspaper dated May 26, 1984.
