CONVERTIBLE
BLAST FROM THE PAST
Hard to Find and Extremely Rare Mark Cross Leather Edition WOODY.
Includes Original Jack and Boot for the Convertible Top. Also has the Original Heavy Wheel Covers.
In an attempt to try and work with a potential buyer, and sell the car in a reasonable amount of time, I have lowered the starting bid from $7500.00 to $6300.00.
This $1300.00 lower starting bid will also allow the buyer to give the car a thorough detailing and what ever else may be desired or needed when you buy a used car..
I purchased this car in June 2014 from a dealer in south Florida and the car had 41,298 ORIGINAL miles on it. This can be verified by the Title. The car now has about 45000.
Shortly after buying the car, I had it inspected by a shop in Crawfordville, Florida. I Spent about $850.00. They repaired wiper linkage, fixed AC, replaced Tie Rod, and Replaced Heater Control. I was told there was rust underneath.
I then spent about $750.00 to have the underside of car where there was rust repaired. I also had them do a tune up, and install a Weber Carburetor Conversion Kit. The Weber Carburetor and parts was about $500.00
I also spent about $130.00 for Front End Alignment.
At 44,113 miles, I had new Struts, Strut Plates, Brakes, Shocks, Rotors and Calipers put on the car and that bill was over $1100.00.
In the 4 years owned,I spent well over $1000.00 additional on the car.
The pictures you see are those that were provided when I bought the car. I am not good at picture taking. The car looks pretty much the same. I am sure when I first bought the car it was professionally detailed.
I meant to clean and vacuum the car, but have not. THEREFORE, IT CAN USE THAT NOW.
Oh, the convertible top works good, goes up and down like it should. But it does need a Good Cleaning to remove what is most likely mildew.
If you look around, you will not see many of these around, especially with the Mark Cross Woody Edition. Also, if you look around people are asking more money for a regular NON Convertible.
I realize asking for the almost $10,000 to $11,000 I have into this car I will never get. I am trying to be reasonable with the price, BUT WILL NOT GIVE IT AWAY. In my opinion, for a 34 year old car, this is Very Good to Excellent Condition.
The car is also listed on Craigslist and Classics AutoTrader. I will consider REASONABLE offers, but again, I will not give it away.
REASON FOR SELLING
I am wanting to Downsize.
In the four ( 4 ) years that I have owned the car, it is rarely driven and I have been paying full coverage insurance on it.
I also want to free up space. We are 2 adults who are both retired and we do not need four ( 4 ) cars. Wife's 2nd car is a MGB Roadster.
I paid $5200.00 for the car and have put over $5000.00 more into the car. I have a Car Fax that I received from the Dealer that I purchased the car from.
Oh, for those that do not know, Crawfordville, Florida is close to Tallahassee. For those familiar with the Crawfordville and Tallahassee area, I live close to Woodville and just off of Woodville Hwy.
$500.00 Non Refundable Deposit within 24 hours. Car is sold as is with no warranty.
