Car description |

2.2 Liter Turbo, Front Wheel Drive, Automatic floor shift transmission. 114,00 original miles! Runs and drives great, turbo whines up and boosts power! Front suspension has recently developed a slight shimmy when exiting the freeway so I bought four new tie rod ends, have not installed them yet. Tires in great shape. Exhaust is good and quiet and notice the original muffle with chrome exhaust tip....a hard to find item, only on original exhausts. Car does 85 on the freeway (shhh...Troopers). Quick take offs from the traffic light. :)
Body:Body is solid, no holes,Frame and floors are solid and have Ziebart undercoated. There issome surface rust on the deck lid where the Florida sun has baked the hood and deck lid, causing chips/cracked paint. If the car was to have a repaint from the top of the wood side trim and up, (hood, deck lid) that's all this car would need...not much to paint if you look at it that way! The top works great, up and down just fine, moves fast, not slow. The black top has the original rear glass (not plastic window) and unzips for fresh air to flow....but there are two tears on the drivers top side over the side rail bow. Some Black Flex-tape is keeping the water out and the top holding together....she needs a new top but still keeps the rain out, which is only a couple of hundred on eBay if you research the part. Like I said, the hood and deck lid are Florida cooked but some sanding and primer will hold until its repainted. Third brake light plastic housing on the deck lid is cracked, put it still works. This needs to be replaced and I have a Chrysler dealers information as to who has one in stock. This car does have the luggage rack option, factory wire wheel covers with original Pentastar Center Caps and correct locking center screws (none missing) and has the wheel lock tool in the glove box with original owners manual.
Interior:I do have the convertible top parade boot!...in tan color, matching the interior. The radio is not the original, appears to be from a 1982-1985, but it works and plays but the preset buttons are loose and touchy and do not always program the station. All four speakers work great. The dash pad is cracked but nothing that a carpeted aftermarket dash pad from eBay can't fix! The instrument panel bezel around the radio is cracked and a piece between the radio and heater controls is missing....needs replaced. DIGITAL DASH WORKS! No electrical issues. Carpet is good, a little faded from the sun but clean and not torn. The seats are in great shape, no tears, power seat motor does not work, stuck in position for a 5'8" man like me to drive it comfortably, LOL. The car sat for a few years under a car port, not a regular garage, and the rain affected the right front and right rear window regulators as they are not working...assuming they need new motors and/or plastic runners from the motor to the window track. The drivers door glass works. Power locks work just fine. Due to the rain on the right side and the right door glass not fully in the up-right position, the right front door trim interior panel has taken some moisture and the cardboard behind the vinyl is wavy. This car does NOT have the Mark Cross Leather interior....which I think was a smart idea when ordering this car because the dark brown and burnt orange Mark Cross interior is ugly. This single, light tone, tan, is nice and appealing on this car with the Black on Black exterior color with wood side trim. (...when getting a new top, tan top looks just as classy as the black top, see Google Images ;)
This car has never been driven in the show. Vehicle history from paperwork shows this car to have been in New York, Long Island area and Florida. I bought the car in April of 2015 and I drove it home from New York/New Jersey area of Manhattan. it has always been stored winters. This is a driver....NOT show car as you can tell, but you can still drive this car every day if you want, and work on it and make improvements to it on the weekends. There is nothing more exiting then doing upgrade improvements to your classic car that you can still drive during the week while you work on it. The car is 32 years old so I have a Michigan Historical plate registration, which allows me to use my original plate from High School. There is some amazing Chrysler Employee History with this car....as I am a Chrysler Employee as well (Auburn Hills, Michigan) but I will fill in the new owner with that story.
