Rare Find. California Car. Frame and Undercarriage are in great shape. The body is very nice with no rust showing and very minimal bondo under the paint. The paint, Cloud White/Geranium Red, and Raven Black (paint code 308), is older and very nice with minor chips around. The Gray and White Tutone interior is mostly original (the armrests have been reupholstered, the front seat has a new seat cover over the original seat cover and the dash cap has been reupholstered) and can be left original or you can replace the seat covers, door panels and carpets, but it is only original once. The car starts easily, having had a fuel pump added to it. The Hemi engine runs smooth and appears to be original as well. All the lights the horn, and the radio work. The glass is in very nice condition. All the chrome is good, a little minor pitting on a few trim pieces and the rear bumper has a few small dents. The whitewall tires are in great shape. The pushbutton transmission works well too. There were 6,686 St Regis Coupes built for the 1956 model year. The St Regis boasted a three tone paint scheme versus two tone paint for the base New Yorker. At over 17 feet long, the power steering comes in very handy. The Vin# N56L4220 breaks down as N for New Yorker, 56 for year built, L for built in Los Angelos, and 4220 was the production run. 5 digit odometer shows a little over 20k miles. We are assuming it to have about 120k miles. Call Mark 301-948-7722 with any quesions.
