CAR HAS 63000 ORIGINAL MILES. PERFECT CARFAX! I BOUGHT THIS CAR ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO WITH 58,000 MILES. I DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO PRESERVE IT AND IMPROVE IT'S CONDITION. I WOULD GO AS FAR TO SAY THAT THIS VERY WELL COULD BE THE NICEST CONQUEST FOR SALE IN THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW!! I WILL GO OVER EVERY LITTLE DETAIL SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE BUYING!!
On Feb-27-18 at 17:04:26 PST, seller added the following information: WE WILL START WITH THE EXTERIOR AND PAINT. WHEN I PURCHASED THIS CAR, IT HAD A ONE TIME FACTORY FIJI BLUE REPAINT. NOT A $10,000 PAINT JOB, BUT A VERY NICE APPLICATION. I HAVE WET SANDED AND THEN POLISHED AND BUFFED EVERY INCH OF THIS RUST FREE BODY. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I TOOK IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!! RUST CAN BE AN ISSUE ON THESE CARS, BUT NOT THIS ONE, BODY IS FREE OF RUST, SCRATCHES AND DINGS!!! IT HAS PICKED UP WHAT I CONSIDER NORMAL AMOUNTS OF VERY MINOR ROCK CHIPS WHICH I CAREFULLY TOUCHED UP WITH THE FACTORY FIJI BLUE PAINT. IF YOU GO TO COMPCARSMB.COM AND LOOK AT MY 140 PLUS DETAILED PICTURES, YOU WILL SEE I TOOK CLOSEUPS AND POINTED OUT THE ONES OF CONCERN. AGAIN, EXTREMELY MINOR AND ALMOST NOT EVEN WORTH MENTIONING, HOWEVER, I WANT YOU TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE BUYING! ALL THE TRIM, RUBBER, DECALS, ALL OF IT ARE IN EXTREMELY NICE CONDITION, AS I HAVE KEPT THE CAR GARAGED! EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT HAS SEEN THE CAR HAS COMMENTED ON HOW SLICK THE PAINT IS AND HOW DEEP THAT SHINE IS!! I SPENT MORE THAN ONE DAY JUST BRINGING THE PAINT TO THE MAXIMUM SHINE!!!! CAR HAD 4 BRAND NEW TIRES PUT ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND I HAD THE WHEELS REFINISHED TO NEAR FACTORY PERFECTION. KEEP IN MIND THE SHP PACKAGE MEANS THAT IT HAS 8 INCH WHEELS IN THE FRONT AND 9 INCH WHEELS IN THE BACK AND 8 WAY FOUR CORNER ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION. ***. ***
AS FAR AS THE INTERIOR, IT IS EQUALLY AS NICE!! MOSTLY ORIGINAL, BUT I DID HAVE THE FRONT SEATS REDONE. I THOUGHT THE BLUE SUEDE INSERTS WOULD BE A NICE TOUCH TO MATCH THE FIJI BLUE EXTERIOR AND THE BLUE PIPING ON THE BRAND NEW CONQUEST FLOOR MATS AND THE BLUE 2 TONE ON THE SHIFT BOOT! THESE ARE THE ORIGINAL SEATS, WHICH EVEN BY TODAY'S STANDARDS WERE AHEAD OF THEIR TIME!! BACK SEATS HAVEN'T BEEN TOUCHED AND I THINK THEY ARE IN THE CONDITION YOU'D EXPECT FROM A 30 YEAR OLD CAR. NICE BUT NOT PRISTINE. CARPET IS ALL GOOD WITH THE EXCEPTION OF UNDER THE DRIVER'S SIDE MAT, YOU CAN SEE SOME WEAR, BUT YOU HAVE TO LIFT THE MAT TO SEE IT, SO ANOTHER NON ISSUE!! A COUPLE OF THE WINDOW SWITCH BUTTONS HAVE SOME WEAR, WHICH IS TYPICAL. OVERALL, YOU OPEN THE DOOR AND YOU WOULD SWEAR YOU ARE LOOKING AT A FEW YEAR OLD CAR!! I REALLY WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO NOT ONLY PRESERVE IT, BUT IMPROVE EVERYTHING I COULD!
NOW I WILL TALK ABOUT THE ORIGINAL DRIVE TRAIN. CAR HAS 63,000 MILES WHICH UNDER CONTINUED CARE, YOU WILL HAVE MANY MORE MILES TO ENJOY!!! I DID DO A NEW CLUTCH A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, HOWEVER, IT HAS BARELY BEEN DRIVEN, MAYBE 1000 MILES???? SHIFTS GREAT, NO GRINDING, SOUNDS GREAT, RUNS GREAT, AND THE CAR HAS BEEN IN MY SHOWROOM FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND NOT ONE SINGLE DROP OF OIL ON THE FLOOR!! WHICH IS UNUSUAL FOR THESE OLD CARS THAT SIT!! WHEN I GOT THE CAR 5 OR SO YEARS AGO, I DID SOME MODERATE AMOUNTS OF UPGRADES, WHICH INCLUDED A FULL CUSTOM EXHAUST, (NO CATS, BUT I HAVE ONE TO PUT BACK ON IF NEED BE) COLD AIR INDUCTION, BLOW OFF VALVE, MANUAL BOOST CONTROL, TRILOGY TURBO UPGRADED FUEL INJECTORS AND FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, NEW PLUGS, WIRES, DISTRIBUTOR, YOU NAME IT, I DID IT TO FULLY SERVICE IT. MIND YOU IT WAS 5 YEARS AGO, BUT WE ARE ONLY TALKING ABOUT 5000 MILES AGO. AN ACCURATE BOOST GAUGE WAS ALSO ADDED AS THE FACTORY GAUGE WASN'T ALWAYS CORRECT!! WE ADDED THESE UPGRADES AND DID WHAT I CALL A SAFE STREET TUNE! NOBODY IN MY AREA HAS A DYNO, NOR KNOWS HOW TO REALLY WORK ON THESE CARS, SO A PROFESSIONAL WITH A DYNO CAN REALLY DIAL THIS THING IN AND GET EVEN MORE POWER! IT CURRENTLY RUNS WAY BETTER THAN STOCK, BUT WITH THE RIGHT TUNE, THERE IS MORE TO GO!! ALWAYS KEPT THE OIL CHANGED TOO!!
LASTLY, I WOULD LIKE TO TALK ABOUT WHAT WORKS AND ANYTHING THE CAR MAY NEED TO MAKE IT COMPLETELY PERFECT!!! A/C IS ICE COLD, ALL THE POWER OPTIONS WORK, SEAT BELTS RETRACT AS THEY SHOULD, WIPERS WORK, HEAD LIGHTS GO UP AND DOWN CORRECTLY, EVERYTHING!! A FEW NIT PICKY THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT, POWER ANTENNA JUST QUICK WORKING LITERALLY ONCE I DECIDED TO PUT IT UP FOR SALE, AND THE FACTORY RADIO WORKS, BUT NOW ALL OF THE SUDDEN WHEN YOU TAKE THE CASSETTE OUT, IT STILL MAKES A CLICKING SOUND LIKE IT'S STILL TRYING TO LOAD. (GO FIGURE) I HAD TO PUT AN A/C COMPRESSOR ON IT WHEN I FIRST GOT IT, AND THE DIGITAL A/C DISPLAY PANEL ALL WORKS, YOU CAN CHANGE THE TEMP, FAN SPEED, WHERE THE AIR COMES OUT, ALL OF THAT, BUT FOR SOME REASON WE COULDN'T GET IT TO ACTUALLY KICK ON THE A/C. IF YOU LOOK AT THE PICTURES, UP UNDER THE RADIO THERE IS A LITTLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT, YOU WILL SEE A TOGGLE SWITCH, WHEN YOU WANT COLD AIR, YOU FLIP THE SWITCH AND THE COMPRESSOR COMES ON. I BELIEVE MY GUY WAS JUST UNFAMILIAR WITH THESE CARS AND MISSED SOMETHING. I JUST DEALT WITH IT, NO BIGGIE!! LOW WASHER FLUID LIGHT STAYS ON, NOT SURE WHAT THE DEAL IS WITH THAT. JUST A FEW MINOR THINGS THAT DIDN'T BOTHER ME SO I LEFT THEM ALONE. ANOTHER THING THAT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE CARS DO, WHEN THE WATER FROM THE A/C DRIPS OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR, ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRAME RAIL, THE WATER WOULD COLLECT. IT CAUSES IT TO PUT S MINOR RUST HOLE WHERE THE WATER COLLECTS, ONCE THE HOLE IS CREATED, THE WATER NO LONGER COLLECTS. I KNEW ABOUT IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT, MY BODY SHOP GUY SAID FOR $250 HE WOULD FIX IT. I TOLD HIM OK, BUT IT NEVER GOT WORSE AND IT WAS A SMALL AREA. AGAIN, NOTHING THAT CAN'T BE FIXED, OR EVEN NEEDS FIXING, BUT I DO WANT YOU TO KNOW WHAT I KNOW. HAD I NOT MENTIONED IT, YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW. I HOPE MY HONEST ASSESSMENT OF THIS CAR AND MY 100% FEEDBACK GIVES YOU CONFIDENCE IN PURCHASING IT!
