This Red and White 1956 Chrysler New Yorker, originally a southern car, is an older restoration but a clean car that you almost never see nowadays. This New Yorker is powered by a 1970's 440 and comes with a nicely redone instrument panel with gauges and a mounted 1955 center slider shifter for its 727 automatic transmission. You can drive it with confidence since the cars' wiring was completely redone, starts right up, and features an electronic fuel pump with manual dash switch, a new Edelbrock carb, aluminum radiator, and fan clutch. Also has new battery, rear air shocks, and a newer stainless dual exhaust. These Chryslers were the epitome of luxury in the day and while there are lots of old Chevys and Fords running around this is a low volume, luxury model you rarely see. Is one of the first vehicles ever equipped with power steerin, and also has power seats, manual windows and 4 wheel drum brakes, original hub caps, etc... and the list goes on with thousands invested. Has tons of chrome both inside and outside. This big beast is fun to cruise on the highway and take to shows. Also included are many spare interior chrome parts such as a town and country radio, dash panels and switches, a newly re-chromed spare and complete front bumper (which was bought for $1595.00 and intended to be put on after a full restoration), and alternator, etc... Needs some work and TLC, has a small oil drip, and could use some chassis updates/tuning amongst other things. Has the potential to be much more!! Medical issues has halted the tinkering and forces a sale. This is not a perfect car but runs well, has a very good, but not perfect body, solid floors, and is an all-around very decent car for the money! Come and see it as its located in Suburban Detroit.PRICE REDUCED, with a very reasonable reserve. Clear title. Buyer to make shipping arrangements. Serious buyers only.
