1953 Chrysler Crown Imperial hardtop. An interested viewer told me the Crown was only a 4 door model. Incorrect, but as literature didn't display this late year model addition. It is a CROWN and still sports the gold crown with the remains of a red plastic insert. I haven't even seen an ad of this exact model on eBay--same appearance as less regal model, maybe different hood bird, less fancy interior--door arm rests have wood cores with an interesting curve--Chrysler went all out on this model. super low production --I have read 853 built this first year.NO DRIVETRAIN--was removed by prior owner and is in his station wagon. It might be available, but I have been told that the 1953 Hemi wasn't the best--1955 better, but, maybe a new owner wants to build a 'Challenger Hellcat' on a custom Art Morrison frame so it's a pretty minor omission, in my opinion. This car has a clean CO title in my name. Unfortunately it sat out since 1966 when last driven. However, it was in Southeast Colorado and the body is excellent. The windshield and rear glass is good. The driver's door glass was broken out and I stuck a piece of plexiglass in to keep weather out. The pass side door glass is cracked. The car is missing one long rocker trim( looks pretty generic) and a short piece of stainless in the rear dogleg area. I have a correct Imperial hood ornament, headlight doors. There is some decay on the side where the rocker trim is missing. Car is on correct Chrysler stock rims-talk about hard to find! Left hand lug bolts on driver's side. The interior floors are excellent--maybe a very small repair section needed under the driver's foot section. This clearly is a project, but I doubt you will come across another one at any car meet. I will try to locate some images I can't find on my desktop, or retake them-the super rare hood bird, etc.The car is located in northern Colorado-70 miles north of Denver. Delivery for cost is possible. 9704437534
