For your consideration is a beautifully built 1932 Chrysler C1 Rumble Seat Coupe Street Rod. This model wasproduced during the height of the Great Depression. Due to the economic climate of the time, these cars were produced in limited numbers and few survive to this day.
This car was tastefully updated with all Chryslercomponents, including the 1962 Chrysler Golden Lion 383 high performance engine with factory dual four barrel carbs. The power plant is backed by a 727 Torqueflite transmission. An 8 3/4 inch differential rounds out the drive train. The steering column is a 1957 Imperial Tilt-tele unit and the wheels are stock Chrysler wires which were sent to Stockton Wheel for refurb.
The coupe features air conditioning, leather upholstery and power windows, including the rear window to facilitate communication with the rumble seat passengers.
Many awards were garnered by the coupe when it was campaigned by the builder/owner, a very well known and highly respected builder in the Central Kentucky area, includingthe prestigious Keeneland Cup from the Keeneland Concours d Elegance in Lexington, Kentucky and the Ronald's Choice trophy at the Boonesborough Boogie Nationals in 2005.The coupe was also included in Rod& Custom's Top 100 in 2000 and was chosen for the Winner's Circle at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals that same year.
This gorgeous car was built with the utmost care and attention to detail. It is a proven show winner and a dependable driver that can be enjoyed for many years to come. It has proven to be quite the conversation piece as well due to it being such a seldom seen vehicle.
