I always wanted to own a convertible, so when I had a chance to get this LeBaron I went for it. I have done my best to keep up on the maintenance which included installing a new convertible top when the rear window fell out. I found some folks that do these frequently and took it 75 miles to their shop. Was very happy with the results, and the top works flawlessly. I bought 2 new rear tires about 200 miles ago, I haven't driven it much the last two years, I think I have put 25000 miles on it in the 10 years I have owned it now. The engine leaks oil, it doesn't burn oil and the motor really runs great. I personally replaced the valve cover gaskets, then hired the pan gasket replaced, as the mechanic couldn't be sure where it was leaking. After all that it was obvious that it was the harmonic balancer seal that was leaking. They estimated around $350 to fix it. The car is a great car, but it needs a new owner that will finish what I have been doing for the last 10 years.
Even with the peeling clear coat and the rust on the rear quarter panels, I got compliments when I was driving it around in the summer with the top down. I think it is one of those Classic Body styles that will always look nice. Plus it still has all the original owners manuals with it.
Selling AS-IS.
