1940 Chrysler Windsor 2Dr Coupe
This is original and unmolested/uncut coupe. You will be hard pressed to see another like this on any classic car meet.
This car is in very good shape for its age and has a good mixture of patina and paint oxidation (at places) that give it the desired rugged look. The coupe drives out nice, shifts nice and behaves exactly how you expect a antique car to behave….it is a hoot to drive! Some features below:
Clean/Clear TX title in my name
No rust or rot – this car is super solid – floors (except two small areas that have been patched), trunk, body, frame. All you see on the pictures is just surface rust!
Running Boards and brackets are solid!
Undercarriage is very nice with no rot (contact me for more pics if you want to see it)
Engine bay is very clean and presentable
Original V6 Flathead with no knocks, no smoke or leaks. Runs like sawing machine
Great Oil pressure
Standard 3 speed with reverse on column– shifts very smoothly and nicely to every gear
It has overdrive!
Drum brakes – stops very well!
Parking brake works
Paint is very nice and shines. It has some oxidation and surface rust only (on roof and trunk) – again no rot!
Every single gauge is original and work (yes, including gas gauge)!!
Spot lights – they are not wired
Windows go nicely up and down and windshield is perfect with no scratches
The chrome is nice but does show light surface rust in some areas
The windshield wipers work!
All lights (hi/low), taillights including license plate light work
The horn is there but does not work (I believe it is disconnected)
Tires are in excellent shape
Interior is very nice, clean and presentable with no rips. The only thing worth mentioning is the headliner, which is very clean; however, sags.
Original 6V with new battery
You simply do not see 40’ coupes very often especially uncut ones and in such a great shape and quite frankly you do not see this car around at all especially in running/driving condition. I have priced the coupe very reasonably to leave a space for your touches, but it does not need anything and can be driven as is.
I have shipped cars before all over the place so I can arrange shipping pretty much anywhere for you at your expense. I will help as much as I can on my end and will store the car in my garage until it is picked up (for a reasonable amount of time).
Please call/txt/email me if you have any question or need any additional information/pictures/video about the car or if you want to come and see it in person. My cell is 281.six8six.5005 or msg me through EBay.
Sold as is where is with no warranty expressed.
