Car description |
---|
1956 Chrysler New Yorker Newport 4-door hardtop luxury sedan. FirePower 354 (rebuilt) Hemi engine. PowerFlight push-button automatic 2-speed rwd transmission. Seafoam green and white.
I've owned the Chrysler since 2005. The rebuilt original Hemi engine had about 7,000 miles on it when I purchased, and I've logged somewhere between 2-3,000 miles since. There are a few cancer (bubble) and rust spots on her and surface rust on the frame. This is a driver and not a $30K show car, but she's a stunner and gets a LOT of attention when out on the road. The car has always been garage kept and has undergone recent maintenance/service from a trusted mechanic in Hillsborough, NC.
Maintenance this past month included bleeding brakes, diagnosed and repaired coolant and valve cover leaks, differential fluid treatment, power steering fluid treatment, engine oil treatment, fuel filter replacement, new battery, front wheel bearing grease packing, carburetor barrel cleaning, engine compartment paint touch-up/cleaning/undercoat application.
