This Imperial is a true classic and was built when car were designed as art in addition to being transportation. The flowing lines and unique bezels and signature Imperial touches are something to behold on this car. It cant be seen anywhere without being admired. Beyond that it is a true Californian time capsule and you just cant find these anymore. Today an Imperial, illed as "America's Most Carefully-Built Car" in ads of the day, s a compelling choice for a luxurious full-size car for collectors world wide. It's got all of the size and accessories that its cross-town competition at Cadillac and Lincoln featured, nd by dint of its lower production, mperials are far more rare and as a result highly sought after and very valuable. They're also more powerful, nd were virtually hand-built on their own assembly line. This stunning example maintaines its factory 413-cubic-inch wedge-headed V-8, utting out 350hp and 470-lbs.ft. of torque. A single four-barrel Carter AFB carburetor resided atop the intake manifold and in 1960 this was the most powerful powerplant in production. This Imperial is a pleasure to drive, echanically tip top and loads of power, ides beautifully highlighted with the 3 speed TorqueFlite Transmission. The three-speed A-466 TorqueFlite iron-case automatic transmission is, uch like the over-engineered powerplant, idely recognized as one of the strongest, east troublesome transmissions available by collectors. Additional Specifications 1960 Chrysler Imperial California Titled Retro California Black Plate comes with the car VIN 9204107935 32672 Miles on the Odometer 2 Owner Californian car since new! It is a true time capsule!! One repaint since new. Always Garage Stored This car was still registered and being driven on weekly excursions to keep the drivetrain lubricated. The 413 Runs ouT beautifully. The Push Button Transmission operates just like it was intended....and the transmission was recently rebuilt. The Car was serviced regularly and recently also had new brakes installed. Loaded with Options Power Brakes Power Steering Power Windows....which work Power Seat....works Power Antenna....goes half mast The Exterior Paint is not fresh but it is respectable. It has some nicks and chips but still has a nice shine with no evidence of rust or blistering anywhere. The Exterior Trim, hrome, tainless and Emblems are all in place, n good condition and original to the car the Glass is all in nice shape. The Interior is mostly all Original. The Carpet has been replaced but otherwise all the other materials are correct and original to the car. Its actually remarkable how well preserved it is. The Headliner is in perfect shape....not a sag or tear. The Dash Bezels are all crisp and have a great finish...this car was made when things were manufactured to last. The Gauges all work as they should. The Radio does not operate. All the little lights operate as they should when you open the doors, runk or hood....amazing! The Chassis is rock solid as you can see in the photos....a thin scale of oxidization only...WOW! The Trunk still has the original carpet and cardboard side panels.....they are always disintegrated after 55 years! The trunk still has the original Jack instructions!
