Car description

1964 Chrysler 300 Newport, 61 V8, ower steering, ower brakes, apphire blue with light blue interior. Actual Turner County Sheriff's car from 1964.

This car is a real attention getter that has a pretty interesting story. The car was bought new in Monroe South Dakota by the at the time sheriff for turner county South Dakota, ho used it from time of purchase to the time he retired about 15 years later. Turner county was and still is a very low populated area of SD and because of that, e used it for his family car as well as for his job. That was back in 1963 when things weren't exactly as structured as they are today. He ordered the car as he did with that in mind, hat is why it is not necessarily a bone stock police cruiser like most law enforcement vehicles, ut it was used as the actual sheriff's vehicle for turner county. I purchased the car from his son, ho inherited it after he passed away and didn't have the room to keep it. That was about 2 years ago, nd now I am looking to pass the car on to someone else who will enjoy it. Me buying it from his son does mean that it has been in that family since new, nd it only ever left turner county when I bought it 2 years ago. (Me living in SE SD in sioux falls)

As far as the physical condition of the car, t is a true original. Very good car with no rust, t's never been hit or abused (Turner County never being known for excessive crime rates). The car is very straight, aint is all good except the trunk it a little bit faded; a good buff would probably help with that. The glass and stainless is all very good and straight. When I bought it, t had been sitting for quite some time so I had it gone through to get it up to standards, ncluding going through the carb, rakes, askets, t has new fuel pump, ater pump, nd wheel bearings. There is nothing that needs to be done to this car after it is bought, he only thing is that there is a small chip in the windshield that is about a quarter of an inch big. It has not spread in the 2 years I have owned it and it is not in driving sight, t is about middle windshield right about where the rear view mirror is. The car runs and drives great with no issues, fter I bought it, have had no issues with it running or driving.

I am selling the car at a no reserve, can help and arrange the shipping if you are distant at your cost. I have no problem helping you with that. If you want to have it inspected or anything, 'd be happy to meet with anyone, t your cost. This is a good honest car, ith a good history.
