Car description

To start off, y name is Harrison and I have owned this beauty of a car for a little over a year now. I bought the Cordoba in Lincoln Nebraska from an older gentleman; he was selling his late mothers daily driver. She had special ordered this car mid 1979, nd had "checked all the boxes" he said. As a note of importance, his car was built in the Windsor Ontario (Canada) plant, ue to the fact that the normal St. Louis plant was still being re-tooled for the 1980 line. The mother chose to get electrical everything, he new radio upgrade, ruise control, s well as the first model of car alarm. The son was a mechanic, nd had been taking care of the car since the moment it was driven home. When I bought it, t had all new hoses, oints, lugs, luids, nd filters, long with just 73,000 miles.I have since put quite a bit of money in car, s I wanted to keep it forever. First of all, put on all new tires, s well as the spare, ince they were all original from 1980 (how the hell they still held air I have no idea, ut that first test ride was a littleworrisome). Next, spent the money to have someone check out the transmission as I didn't want to be stuck with one of those problem cars sitting in my yard; the mechanics did a once over on the whole tranny and said it looks brand new. Next, had the AC "refilled" and the gas gauge replaced. The R12 that was put in the AC has since leaked out, ut I would strongly recommendreplacing out the whole system if you plan on staying cool. The gas gauge didn't work when I bought the car, ut now it reads almost perfectly. Lastly, personally rebuilt the washer system as all of the bushings (and other devilish plastic parts) were worse for ware.My fiance and I have recently moved to Hillsboro Oregon, suburb of Portland, hich brings me to why I am selling my car. During the trip here from Lincoln Nebraska, decided to drive the car out instead of ship. In the driving, he rear differential bearings went bad, s well as the lifters in the motor. I drained the bank of everything that I had, nd had those two things fixed. The diff. is still pretty tight, ut the new lifters made a world of difference. The mechanics I worked with were really stand-up guys, nd did a dang good job. After the work was completed, he car still didn't seem to run well. Calling my old mechanics in Nebraska, s well as my new ones in Oregon, e figured out that thecarburetorneeds to be rebuilt. There is a small leak that makes the motor get too much air, nd she regularly dies at stop lights. Personally, f I had enough money, would keep this car forever, ut I don't, o I need to sell and let someone else give her some love. The car is pretty dang rare, s it was made in Canada. Also, ow many of these old Cordobas do you see anymore? I am only asking as much money as I have put into the car since I moved out, hich is $1500. I paid $3500 for the car, s well as over $1500 in parts in labor before the move, s well as the $1500 after the move. You are getting a pretty amazing Cordoba if you snatch up this old gal, njoy her.If you have any questions, would love to answer them! This car has become a huge love of mine, nd I'd love to share some of that with you! If you need any pictures just ask!
