This is a factory equipped L79 327 1967 El Camino. One of very few built, his one has the original engine block. It is a factory air conditioned El Camino, ith every piece of a/c hardware on it. Originally a 4 speed truck- as defined by the engine code, ut it was converted over to a TH350 by a previous owner. This El Camino was built in its current configuration for the Red Bull Company for distributing samples of the Crunk Energy Drink, nd sustains an Internet history as the Crunkamino. If you look up that term you will find this El Camino was thought to be an SS; I will guess because it has the original SS hood on it. The truth is that no '67 El Camino's were sold with an SS option. This was a very rare optioned L79 327 El Camino with the SS hood, speed, ilt steering column, 2 bolt rear and Air Conditioning all factory installed. I registered this truck on the L79 Registry several years ago after I bought it. About the only thing I have done to the truck since I purchased it was remove the 14 inch wheels and replace them with similar 17 inch American Torque Thrusts. Red Bull stopped using this El Camino when the points were fried and the truck considered unreliable and I subsequently bought it in a non-running condition. I have not driven it since purchasing as my intent was to put a ZZ4 350 in it for daily use and protectively store the L79 motor. Chances are you will never find another real L79 '67 El Camino for the low price I am offering my truck for and zero chance it would have the history this truck has asThe Crunkamino and website and music videos to prove it.The El Camino has an Edelbrock style Carter Performance carburetor and an aftermarket chrome air cleaner. I removed the valve covers and checked the castings and dates and right C 3 7 dated 462 head aligns with the truck and engine build date. The left head is a 461 casting dated A 29 6. Both have screw in studs and guideplates. The original intake had some polish work done and some pieces on the Camino were chromed as shown in pics. Please note pictured details like the near impossible to find correct L79 distributor and other L79 specific parts like the air cleaner tube. Pic added to show large diameter crank dampener and original pulleys. The steering column shaft has the bolted flange at the box, s usually found on big block cars. This '67 4 speed tilt steering column alone is worth appx $1K. Body is in good condition, ery minimal rust, rame is straight and solid. Paint is fair, as some damage from company logo stickers on the doors and tailgate. Has 69-72 Chevelle GM single piston caliper disc brakes up front.Has headers and Flowmaster mufflers. Bed floor is in good shape, orward bed panel has a flat panel over the original and mounts the front tonneau cover rail. All the hip-hop big stereo components mounted in the bed and the Crunk ice box were removed 5 years ago, had no interest in keeping any of that. Original AM radio is still in the dash.
