Car description

'71 Blazer K/5 4WD. This is one of the most original, ncut Blazers I have seen. Still sits on stock suspension, as original paint and interior. 350 cubic inch engine is not the original one for the vehicle, ut it is a 350 engine, nd that is what came in the vehicle from the factory. Transmission is the original one, hich is the Turbo 350 with I believe the NP-205 transfer case. Vehicle runs and drives great. The engine is out of a later year vehicle. It runs great, nd has new one-piece oil pan and other misc gaskets installed prior to engine install. The transmission recently had new pan gasket, ear seal (drive line), hifter shaft, nd fluid put in. Oil in engine was recently changed as well at the same time, ess than 50 miles ago. Transmission feels good, t shifts like a factory one should - not too hard, ut doesn't slip. The 4wd works great. The engine has an aluminum Weiand intake on it, nd Edelbrock 4 barrel (assume it's a 650 cfm) carburetor. Distributor is an HEI unit. Battery is a red top Optima. Exhaust is stock type, he two sides combine into one and run all the way to the back that way. Brakes are stock, rum rear and disc front - power. All drums and rotors have been turned, nd new pads, hoes installed on both front/rear. New master cylinder was also installed, rakes feel great. Tilt steering column is tight and vehicle steers straight and tight - also power. Suspension feels good, o major squeaks, attles or shakes while driving. The wheels are original 6 lug rally type, ith the pot metal (not cheap plastic) center caps, new 4x4 emblems in the rear. Tires are 15 inch, 1-10.50 all around, ith more of an aggressive tread in the rear, ut all tires in good shape, ears look close to new. Factory skid plate around the gas tank is in great shape. The body is all stock, t does have some rust, s the pictures show, n the normal spots along the rocker panels and the pass side front lower quarter panel. The vehicle is so stock, did not want to cut into it to have the panels replaced, s the paint would have had to have been blended in, r the whole quarter panel painted. The front floor pans are in good shape, here is some surface rust on each side in front of the sill plate area, ut there is no rust at all on the vertical kick panel areas. The rear floor pan area under the pad looks new, he paint is shiny and nice still. The outside has some usual chips and dents for a vehicle that is almost 45 years old. The paint is in great shape, side from the chips and obvious rust spots. There is no rust on the bottom of either door. The tail gate is in good shape - appears to have had a dent in it at some point (pictures show...), nd someone must have drilled holes to pull the dent out, hen just left the holes. There are also holes drilled for what I am guessing is a spare tire holder. Other than that, he tailgate has no major issues, nside is very straight and clean. No rust popping through the front fenders. The grill is ok, hows wear, ut not bent out of shape. The hood is near perfect. The top is also in great shape. No major leaks, o major cracks. The rear window frame is in great shape, nd has no cracks, nd shuts and seals perfectly, oes not rattle while driving. All the glass is factory tinted, nd in good shape. One key fits all the locks, ear window included. Chrome bumper on the rear is in good shape, as one dent in it on the dr side, nd the front is new. The interior is in good shape, he rear floor pad is factory and in great shape. Still has the underlying pad that has grooves in it that lay inside the ribbed floor so the rubber pad on top stays flat. The chrome piece that holds the rear of the pad down is in place, ront one is missing. All the weather stripping is intact and in decent shape (for original...) Does not whistle or leak while driving. Gauges all work, s well as all the interior (and exterior) lights. Original AM push-button radio works. Power has been removed from that and an aftermarket stand alone amplifier has been installed at some point under the dr side seat. It is an AM/FM receiver unit, nd has aux inputs, s well as USB input, o you can listen to iPod or other music, r install CD player or any other type of RCA aux input. The two speakers in the rear are the only two this unit powers. Uses remote control. Original owner's manual from '71 is still in glove box. New floor mat for under the front seats and floor area was installed, long with new sill plates. Seats will need to have covers put on them at some point. The rear seat has some tears, he pass seat has more tears than the back, nd the dr seat is worse than all three...but the backs of all the seats are ok, nd the foam on all the seats are in great shape. The seats are the larger auxiliary type, nd are very comfortable. All in all this is a great vehicle, t's perfect to drive the way it is as a survivor type - it always gets great compliments everywhere I take it. Or would be a perfect start for a rebuild project, ince it is so complete. If you have ANY questions, lease feel free to ask, t's an old vehicle, nd it has problems, have tried to list them all, ut if you want to see something or know about something specifically, lease feel free to ask, don't want any surprises for buyers. Shipping will need to be taken care of by buyer. This is a no-reserve auction!!
