We are offering at auction a 1962 Chevy Bel Air 4dr 283V8 with Powerglide transmission. We are selling with a clear transferable Virginia title and Unknown True miles. We removed the pan and valve covers to thoroughly clean and inspect the engine before installing all new lifters, new timing chain and gear, plugs, cap, rotor, wires, hoses, belts and valve cover and pan gaskets, new single plug altinator, new gas tank and sending unit, fuel pump and brake service. The 283 2bbl(Edlbrock intake) starts instantly hot or cold (has manual choke) and never ran smoother with zero smoke.the B/A drives straight down the road and stops and steers with zero issues. It is a very comfortable and easy car to drive with power steering and a smooth ride. We installed a factory look true dual exhaust from Summit (pipe instead of the new mufflers, which are included) that sounds quiet enough when cruising but growls when you get into it and burbles when you let off. Four new Cooper tires on stripped and painted Chevy wagon wheels. This was a factory AC car but the unit is gone (still has "Air Conditioned" sticker on rear window"). We cut any rot out of the sheet metal and welded in new metal(see pic of front fender bottom). The frame is rock solid from front to back and in between. We've driven it hundreds of miles back roads and hi way without a hiccup. The only defect of note is a cracked windshield. It looks to have been painted long ago in the original color and has nicks, scrapes, chips, cracks etc. The paint might buff but we didn't want to mess with it,that's up to the buyer. Reserve is no money maker at way less than 5 thousand. We cancel all zero bidders and bidder with questionable feedback and/or multiple retractions because legitimate bidders don't like to bid against them. We answer all questions honestly. Thank you.
