Up for sale we have a 1967 Chevy Chevelle Super Sport. This is a real SS with the 138 Vin Code. In ’67 they made a few changes from the ’66 model and this was the last year for this body. It was also the first year that disc brakes was offered with a dual master cylinder. The one we have for you has had a Full Frame Off Resto. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior interior and heartbeat of the Chevy but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned operated and own our entire inventory no consignments and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information pictures or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. The body was set off the frame and pulled down to the metal. What little work was needed was done and then it was slicked for paint. When you look down the sides you will see they are laser straight with good fit of all the panels. It has the coorect hood and dual mirrors. Everything is covered in the Marina Blue base coat/clear that has been buffed and polished to a deep shine. When you look in the jams and under the trunk it’s all done very well. The bumpers were replaced as well as other chrome trim and the emblems. Also the grill and stainless looks new. As with any good build all the glass was removed and cleaned or replaced. When it was put back in new window felt seals and weather stripping was installed.
Next we will take a look at the interior of the Super Sport. On the inside it’s all done in the correct light blue with the correct bucket seats and console. When restored the dash bezels were even replaced. The dash all looks stock right down to the AM Radio. It has a light blue headliner with the factory stainless trim that looks good with dome light working. Also this Chevelle has a full set of seat belts. Finally all the window cranks and handles were replaced.
Finally we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it’s powered by a ’67 Model 396 V8 325 HP that’s mated to a Muncie 4 Speed and a 12 Bolt Rear End. The engine has a matte black Aluminum Edelbrock intake with a Holley Carb. Also it’s dress with chrome valve covers and breather. A new booster and Master cylinder were installed to go with the Front Disc Brakes. This SS also has Power Steering. When you look under this ride it’s immaculate. The floors are done in red oxide and the frame was cleaned and painted black. All new body bushings along with bushings in the front end and out back were installed. The fuel lines and brake lines were replaced along with a new Fuel Tank. It has stock duals on it with factory manifolds.
