This 1961 Corvette has been taken off its original chassis and fitted with a custom made chassis using c4 components. The rear has been narrowed to allow for the wide rear rims and tires. Most of these conversions that you see have flat narrow wheels on the rear but not this one. A lot of time money and effort was put into getting the rear wheels to fit. Once that was done all the c4 components were removed and polished. As you can see in the photos there was a clearance problem with the front inner fenders and the car was taken to a shop to have them modified but it really never got completed because the engine which then was a 90 Corvette with T56 5 speed was changed out for the Ls-1 with 4l60E transmission which sits in the car now. Corvette America now makes inner fenders with added clearance. The body has had modifications made so it fits the new chassis and has been painted a 1961 Corvette color which is Jewel Blue. The hardtop is not painted and will need two new side windows because the old ones are weathered. There is no soft top. The paint did not have any marks on it until we transported it on a trailer one day and the back tie down broke and hit the bottom of the valance panel where the exhaust will exit. I did not fix it because I thought by the time it gets finished it would need more. The car comes with a new windshield NOS grill chrome new front fender spears new door handles Ididit steering column under dash brake booster with master cylinder 1992 complete c4 front end assembly with power steering. It now has a manual Flamming River rack. These are the parts I do not have: no wiring for the car no radiator no radiator support no seats no interior panels no brake or gas lines. The car comes with the Vin tag and a Vermont transferable registration and Bill Of Sale.If you have any questions please call before you bid on the car. 802-309-8264If you have watched the Barrett Jackson and Mecum Auctions you know that this car finished will be in the six figure category. The reserve is low compared to what I have invested in the car.
