Car description

NO RESERVE! OPENING BID IS THE RESERVE. Even in need of body work and paint I get stares and questions every time I drive it.When they say "two men enter and one man leaves" they aren't talking about the guy in a Prius. 5th K5 I've owned and they have a good reputationamongthe off-road crowd for their abilities. 1975 was the last year of the fullconvertible.1975 Chevy Blazer. Good project or drive as is. I bought this with the intent of restoring with my son but the wife has put out the ultimatum that that isn't going to happen as she wants him in a modern vehicle with airbags/hands free mobile etc. In an effort to avoid the couch for theforeseeablefuture its for sale. I will give you a complete breakdown of what I know and will post more picstomorrow.Has rust on the right side you could patch the quarter but I'd just replace it as it is pretty rough along with right rocker and patch lower right door. Rest of body is clean as is the frame. Those panels list for just at $500 total through LMC. Not sure why the right side got hit by rust as the rest of the body is fairly clean.Floor pans are all solid with the exception of the extreme right side of the passenger front where the rocker panel is. New rocker should fix that. All other panels are solid with surface rust only.Strong engine been rebuilt at some point and sounds mostly stock but also sounds like it has a very mild cam. Edelbrock intake Q-Jet carb. PS/PB. A/C Dryer in place but no compressor orcondenser. Blower motor works. No knocking lifter noise smoke etc. Solid engine. I'll try to post a video of it runningtomorrow.Starts up with one or two pumps of the pedal every time. Does not smoke at all. Idles very smoothly at 700 RPM. Does not stall or act up at all. Does not stall at red lights or hesitate. Like my dad always said "if its running right don't mess with it". So I haven't outside fluid changes.Transmission shifts smooth through all gears. Kick down cable not connected to throttle but is there. I have no problem passing people in third healthy engine.I believe there has been a part-time kit installed in the NP203 xfer case as it has a np205 knob and locking hubs.Could use some fresh tie-rod ends. I might put them on before end of auction time permitting.Tires are ok but probably only have about 10k miles or less left in 'em. Rally rims no rings. No stereo but I might be able to find one in the garage somewhere.Rear tailgate replaced with newer power model but window doesn't go up all the way. They didn't do a very good job on the swap.10 bolt front 12 bolt rear. Gear ratio unknown.I drove this blazer 140 miles home after purchase with no problems whatsoever at 60-65 MPH. Blazer does NOT run hot allgaugeswork (oil pressure amps temp fuel odometer tach). I drive it around the neighborhood.about a 3" lift Rancho front springs blocks in the rear. Rancho shocks. All lights work correctly HI/LO beam blinkers 4-way hazards brake lights. Odometer reads 10 MPH lower than actual speed. I chalk this up to the 33x12.5x15 tires e.g. if it reads 55 your doing 65.Brakes work very well disc front/drum rear. Parking break functional and working correctly.Windshield wiper motor works very slow. Would replace if your going to make it a daily.Passenger window cranks up and down very smooth. Driver's side will go up and down but is verydifficultfrom half-way up to closing. No inner fender wells. Junk yard find pretty cheap at a pick and pull. The drive train is solid and worth the money.stock exhaust manifolds single glass-pack muffler dumps in front of rear axle. Sounds pretty throaty.Mileage on title says "exempt". Odometer says 64000 but who knows.Enginedefinitelyfresh.New battery.I will try to get it inspected this week as it should pass with no problems.16 year ebay member with 100% positive feedback. If it doesn't sell I willcampaignto make it my fishing/hunting truck and gear up for round three with the wife. After 23 years of marriage you married guys will understand. Tactical retreats are ok but never surrender.I will post more pics when the sun comes up for you to see. I have tried to be very accurate in the description. You can restore it drive it as is or mud it. Located in Victoria TX 77904. For sale locally so may end auction early. Possible trade/partial trade for old toyota / nissan 4x4 truck rifles pistols. text 915-356-0194Please do not bid unless you have cash.Alreadyhad half a dozen teenagers knocking on my door with various payment plans/offers and although I am sympathetic to their dreams I am just a working stiff and can't afford to be Daddy Warbucks.ADDED TODAY 6/3/15: was taking pictures of floor pans and did find a panel affixed to the drivers side maybe 4" x 10". not sure why as the panel looks good from underneath.6/3/15: went to get it inspected and the only gig was horn being inop. I will try to repair/replace that and get a TX inspection before auction end. This is a running driving operational 4x4.
