TRIM TAG INFORMATION: 57 - 1037DBODY K - 7261TRIM 670 - 1A BPAINT 822DYou’re looking at a friend of mine’s 1957 Chevy Bel Air two door hardtop. It was purchased in 2006 from a dealership in Oregon. They enjoyed the car going to car shows and cruising it around for about ten years putting only 4000 miles on it. The family just doesn't have time to enjoy it anymore. It was taken to a mechanic to make sure everything is good to go and also professionally detailed inside and out. It came out amazing. It looks like it had a frame-off restoration in the early 2000's. I have no documentation to prove it but I do have pictures of the car taken apart before it was painted black which are included in the auction photos. The paint and chrome are beautiful laser straight body with two-stage PPG black paint and beautiful chrome except for one very minor ding/scuff on the front lower bumper on the driver's side. There are no rust bubbles coming through no rust in the trunk no rust in the doors no rust on the trunk lid no rust on the rain gutters or under side of the car. The glass is nice. It looks to me like it was replaced when the car was painted about ten years ago. It has a nice interior needing seat belts. The dash has been rebuilt/restored. I talked to the gentleman that rebuilt the dash today and he said it was the one of the cleanest rust free under-dash areas he's ever seen. It has Twisted Vista 18 and 20 inch Intro wheels with Nitto tires that are in great shape. It has a small block Chevy 350 V8 (CMJ code) with an Edelbrock Performer EPS intake aluminum radiator Dougs headers with dual exhaust power steering and adjustable front disc brakes and rack and pinion front end. It has a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive and stock rear end with 4.11 posi traction. The car runs and drives great. You can get in it and go.When they bought the car it had a 1959 Corvette GM fuel injection unit on it that worked well. It is up for sale in a separate auction this week. It would be great to sell the car and f.i. unit to the same person. To sum it up the car was restored a while back and still shows very very nice. No signs of shoddy work no paint cracks no peeling chrome etc. To me a car that has been painted for this length of time and still looks great not showing any faults means that it must have been a quality paint job and has been well taken care of. The inside and outside look great. It could use a little sprucing up under the hood. It has been driven so underneath the hood and the underside of the car show signs of normal use. The odometer reads 30278 but the actual mileage is unknown. I can't stress enough how nice the body paint and chrome work on this car is. It's stunning. The car was purchased for $55000.00 in 2006. The reserve is set lower.Once again the fuel injection unit is up for auction this week in a separate auction and is NOT included with the car.If you need more information (a walk around description) or more specific pictures you can email me or call me Mike at (760) 519-3478.If you are an overseas buyer I have a truck and trailer and can transport the car to a shipper in Long Beach for $300. This vehicle is being sold as is with no implied warranty. If I have not had contact from the winning bidder within 3 days of the end of the auction I will assume you are a non-paying bidder and will proceed through the ebay steps accordingly to cancel the sale. Payment is to be paid in full within 7 business days of the end of the auction and pickup within 10 days of the end of the auction unless other arrangements are agreed upon.
