Car description |
---|
I have my 1956 chevy Belair up for sale. It is not a show car but all it needs is a good paint job. It came from factory Onyx black and it is still black now with black/white
interior. It has a very strong running 400 sbc with headershigh rise intake trick flow alum heads solid lift cam. It has a thermostat controlled electric fan in front of the BCOOL
radiator and the regular fan on engine. I took itto crusing the coast last year and nooverheating issues even with the air conditioner on most of the time. The transmission is a
Muncie four speed with a hurst shifter. The rear axle is a positive unit with brand new 3.08 gears and bearings (I have the 3.36 gears that came out) Chrome is good glass is
good taillights converted to led and work good. Everything on the car works except the clock. It has powerdisc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear stops real
good. I have the power steering pumpgear box and pivot arm to convert to power steering just need hoses and not sure about crankshaft pulley. I like the way itdrives without
the power steering and will not be changing it over. I took out the back seat trunk mat etc andcan't see where anything has been patched. Idrive the car weekly and would
drive it anywhere now that thegear ratio is higherdidn't like driving 3000 rpm at 67 mph now it is about 2650 at 70mph.The car looks real good and until you get about 2 or 3
feet from the caryou won't see the area on top of front fenders underthe clear coat. The car was painted with lacquer paintand it is starting to spiderwebb (finecrack lines)under
the clear coat. This car sounds good with headers anddual exhaust out the rear.Tires are14" on front 15" on back with less than 1000 miles on them. Car sold as is.
