In 1961 Chevrolet offered an Impala 2 door Sedan model. Very few of these were ordered and made. It is a post car and after 1961 these were not offered again. Not enough were bought to continue production making this a 1 year only production car so it is VERY RARE to have one especially in this condition. I have one up for sale and it is nice. This car came from Factory with a 6 cylinder engine. It now has a 348 with three 2 barrel carbs. It also now has a 4 speed manual transmission. It is Tuxedo Black which was the original color and 95% of this car still retains it's original paint. The Gray colored interior is all original and in great condition. There is a place on bottom of drivers door panel that is loose and has tape on it. ( See pics )The paint still looks good but is not perfect but to be mostly original still shows great. Looking at it up close you can find imperfections but paint is 54 years old. The car is very solid and the body is straight. It runs great and shifts great and sounds awesome with the Flowmaster dual exhaust. The engine has a small cam in it and was bored .30 over when built. The odometer is showing around 63000 miles and is believed to be correct miles but not 100% sure. It has the original Hubcaps with good tires. It has no power steering or brakes but drives and stops good. The floor pans and trunk look amazing and original. This is truely an amazing find and a must have for any car collector. The Vin Number for this car is 11711B122778. It was built in Baltimore Md. This is an Impala and not a Bel Air. Decode the vin and see for yourself. I also have pics of the cowl tag which reads: STYLE - 61-1811 BODY - BA 535 TRIM - 809 PAINT - 900A. VERY RARE CAR HERE!!!! I have alot more pics of this car if anyone wants to see more just let me know. DON'T MISS THIS ONEThis car is also For Sale Locally and on other sites so auction could end early. It is being sold AS IS with no warranty given or implied in anyway. Pre Sale inspections are always welcomed and encouraged so you will know exactly what you are bidding on but must be done BEFORE END OF AUCTION!! If you bid and meet reserve and are high bidder at end of auction then you have bought it. Please understand this. I have described to best of my knowledge but could have missed or overlooked something so if you have any questions please ask. If you buy without looking or having it looked at then that is your choice. Nothing to hide here!! This car is being sold with a current Georgia registration as Georgia will not issue a title on a car this old nor does it require one. You will be able to get a title in your state with the paperwork I give you so don't worry about this. Thanks for looking
