This is a 3/4 ton Chevrolet Custom Cab truck. Fleetside model. This model has optional chrome trim and bumpers. It comes equipped with an optional 283 V8 radio and trim as well as a 'three on the tree" 3 speed manual gearbox and 4.57:1 rear differential. It was my grandfather's truck and has been in the family since the 60's. Has a modern rear sliding window (small). New wiring harnesses up front as well as a new alternator water pump remanufactured carburetor front and rear brakes exhaust sun visors and NIP rearview day/night mirror. Also has new taillight lenses and chrome headlamp bezels. We had the seat reupholstered ten years ago. New ignition/keys and choke knob/cable (manual choke). Gas tank has been boiled and painted new fuel sender and pump new distributor and wires. Tires and rims were added as a new set in 1999. Although less than 20 miles are on the tires it is recommended that due to rubber aging the buyer should anticipate replacing them.PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that everything noted as new was done ten years ago as part of a restoration effort but this truck was never used after these parts were added. We simply added them ran short of time and money and then parked it in a storage unit. There are probably a combined 12 miles driven on the truck since attempted restoration began. Electrical works fine and the engine starts and runs but starts to run rough after 15 minutes. We believe cylinder #8 may have bad valves due to the fact that as the engine heats up it backfires. Could be the cam. Even after proper timing the problem persisted. No tailgate included. Also included are both CA black plates original dealer plate frame and the owners manual. Vehicle does not have a title and is off DMV record. I will fill out a CA DMV Bill-of-Sale. Buyer is responsible for pickup/shipping of this vehicle. A deposit of $500 is due within 2 days of auction close and payment is accepted via PayPal or Cashier's Check. Thank you for lookingEdit & update: I tried starting it yesterday after a few months of sitting and it looks like the carburetor needs work. It starts and sputters and it gets fuel (added a new fuel pump 2 years ago) but it seems like the float may be stuck. I added a new carb fuel filter but it still needs tlc. I hate to add this to the description but I want to be completely transparent with all potential buyers. On the bright side I have discovered some extra parts that go with this truck. I found a new set of three point seatbelts (gray to match the seat) that are new in the box as well as an unopened new engine harness an extra remanufactured Delco-Remy alternator both original bowtie emblem sill plates for the doors (need refinishing) a new out of the box washer jar and bracket (the plastic bottle/metal bracket that mounts to the radiator support) and the two towing mirrors that were originally on this truck. I wanted to also add that the radiator was re-cored and the radiator support was sandblasted and powdercoated. Thanks again for looking.
